By now, you will know that we are growing fans of ACTVE CAPTVE, having featured their exploration of the bittersweet complexities of a breakup, Away From You and the thought-provoking trip with evocative new single, Ellis Island, so when we heard that the talented band was back with Safe N Sound, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

Establishing the mood with a rising, meditative synthscape with funk and disco licks, we are transported into a vibrant and fierce electro-pop universe. Our protagonist, Justin Han shares a pristine pop vocal which is full of charismatic depth.

We appreciate his references, and learn that he cites Dua Lipa, System of a Down, and “a touch of Muse’s sonic brilliance” as the ingredients for his fusion-based sonic architecture. We can agree, although there is no doubt that Justin is fostering a sound of his very own.

The passion that the star delivers is unrivalled, and fans of Michael Jackson’s vigour and boldness will also be able to connect with ACTVE CAPTVE‘s boundless energy.

Lyrically, we learn that the song captures the essence of Justin’s emotional journey, offering listeners “a glimpse into his introspective contemplation as he comes to terms with the loss of one of the most important relationships in his life while still moving with the tides of time.”

What ACTVE CAPTVE is nothing short of genius, and needless to say, we are completely enthralled by this latest adventure.
