Earlier today I was in Paris for Jean Paul Gaultier’s AW13-14 menswear show. As always, fashion’s “L’Enfant Terrible” delivered somewhat of a groundbreaking showcase for the collection. However, don’t let the theatrics behind it distract you – almost every piece was perfection. From the intricate use of lace, to statement leather arm length gloves, jumpsuits, kilts, reverse kilts, silhouettes, it was everything and more. Theatrically speaking, Gaultier HQ was transformed into a red/purple light district with models including Andrej Pejic and Tarik Lakehal performing a strip tease of the multi-layered collection – highlights below.
