Lanvin SS13 Campaign Film Featuring Alber Elbaz dialling in via …Skype

Lanvin has by all means been pushing boundaries with its recent campaigns – Pitbull dance videos, real life models and now for SS13 with Alber Elbaz dialing into the actual campaign film via Skype. It’s kinda strange and yes will have some level of viral potential, but feels odd at first view more than anything else.

However, once you get the back story, it is slightly more charming. Lanvin’s creative director couldn’t attend the Steven Meisel shoot in person due to Hurricane Sandy, so the brand incorporated his feedback into the video. His one liners are priceless.

The campaign features Karlie Kloss, Saskia de Brauw and Daria Strokous with creative direction by House + Holme’s Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme. Campaign images under the cut.
