Public health professionals have an enormous platform and an equally enormous responsibility. When physicians make sweeping statements about nutrition, their words can shape perceptions, influence patient decisions, and either promote or undermine evidence-based medicine.

This is why Dr. Victoria Vardell unfounded, click-bait comments such as, “I’ve never seen someone made healthier by a vegan diet,” deserve scrutiny. Personal anecdotes are not scientific evidence. A physician’s individual experiences cannot override decades of nutritional research or the positions of major professional organisations. Both the British Dietetic Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics have stated that appropriately planned vegetarian and vegan diets can be healthful and nutritionally adequate for all stages of life. Consciousness research has also proven that a plant-based diet is healing.

The statement is also problematic because it conflates veganism with a diet alone. Veganism is an ethical philosophy that seeks to avoid, as far as is possible and practicable, the exploitation of animals. Food choices are one expression of that philosophy, but veganism encompasses broader concerns about animal welfare, environmental sustainability, and human health.

There is also growing evidence that plant-rich eating patterns can contribute to lower risks of several chronic diseases and can reduce environmental pressures associated with food production. This does not mean that every vegan diet is automatically healthy, nor does it mean veganism is the only path to good health. It does mean that dismissing vegan diets wholesale is inconsistent with the scientific literature.

Equally concerning is the state of discourse on social media. When physicians who disagree are blocked rather than engaged, opportunities for meaningful scientific conversation are lost. Doctors such as Dr. Matthew Nagra and Dr. Minil Patel have publicly advocated for evidence-based discussions around plant-based nutrition with Dr. Victoria Vardell but have been blocked and reduced in her comments to being “influencers”, when they are both doctors. Blocking critics, especially when they are asking for evidence and clarification, can create the impression that challenging questions are unwelcome.

Some observers have expressed concern that Dr. Victoria Vardell, MD attacking and blocking brown male physicians while amplifying unsupported claims risks reinforcing feelings of exclusion and unequal treatment may be rooted in racism. What can be said is that public health discussions should remain open, evidence-based, and respectful of diverse voices.

In an era of misinformation and polarisation, anti-vegan physicians should be especially careful not to substitute anecdote for evidence or dismiss entire communities with broad, unsupported statements. The stakes are too high, for human health, for animals, and for the quality of public discourse itself.

For some background, Dr Matthew Nagra is a celebrated Vancouver-based naturopathic doctor and nutrition researcher known for his evidence-based approach to plant-based nutrition and chronic disease prevention. Through his clinical work and educational content, he has become a prominent voice countering nutrition misinformation and translating scientific research for the public.

Dr Minil Patel is a UK-based GP who graduated from King’s College London with degrees in Medicine and Neuroscience and has a particular interest in plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine. An ethical vegan since 2017, he combines his medical expertise with his background in bodybuilding and public education to promote evidence-based discussions on veganism, health, and fitness.

Ultimately, physicians like Dr. Victoria Vardell who reflexively dismiss veganism without engaging with the scientific literature risk placing themselves on the wrong side of both evidence and history. Medicine has repeatedly evolved by challenging entrenched assumptions, from attitudes toward smoking to preventive nutrition and environmental health. To reject veganism outright, despite major dietetic organisations recognising that appropriately planned vegan diets can support good health, reflects intellectual rigidity rather than scientific curiosity.

Criticising poorly planned diets is entirely legitimate, but dismissing an ethical movement and nutritional approach that is increasingly supported by research, adopted by millions, and driven by concerns for human health, animals, and planetary sustainability, is increasingly difficult to defend. History tends to favour those who remain open to evidence and willing to reassess long-held beliefs, not those who dismiss emerging consensus through anecdote and prejudice.

The scientific evidence supporting plant-based nutrition is substantial and growing. Large studies and reviews have shown that appropriately planned plant-based diets are associated with lower risks of heart disease, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, and obesity, while diets rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds are linked to improved cardiovascular and metabolic health. Research has also demonstrated that plant-based eating patterns can help improve cholesterol levels, blood pressure, insulin sensitivity, and overall diet quality.

While no single diet is a cure-all and individual nutritional needs vary, the weight of evidence indicates that well-planned plant-based diets can play a significant role in disease prevention and health promotion, which is why major professional organisations recognise them as healthful and nutritionally adequate.

UPDATE: Dr. Victoria Vardell has now attached another brown male vegan doctor, Dr. Akash Patel, and referred to vegans as a “hypoglycaemic malnourished mob”. See screen shot below. Online conversation is now finding a way to contact the State Medical Board about Dr. Victoria Vardell‘s actions.

Online reaction to Clavicular‘s recent rhinoplasty has been overwhelmingly negative. Across Reddit, X, and articles covering the reveal, many people have described the result as “botched,” saying the surgery removed one of his most distinctive and attractive features. Critics have argued that his original nose gave him a stronger, more masculine look and that the new, slimmer nose appears out of proportion with the rest of his face.

A recurring sentiment is that Clavicular never needed a nose job in the first place. Numerous commenters have said he was already a highly attractive young man before surgery, with some calling him a “10/10” and expressing frustration that someone widely considered handsome still felt compelled to alter his appearance. Many users questioned what he was even trying to fix, with some remarking that people often pay to achieve features similar to his original nose.

Clavicular nearly cried on stream after getting bullied on stream for his new appearance pic.twitter.com/BsGvqDji7F
— kira (@kirawontmiss) June 16, 2026

The situation has also sparked a broader conversation about insecurity and online beauty culture. Clavicular built his following around “looksmaxxing,” the idea that appearance can be optimized through self-improvement and, in some cases, cosmetic procedures. Following the surgery reveal, many internet users argued that the incident demonstrates how relentless pursuit of perfection can lead people to change features that were never flaws to begin with. Several commenters described the outcome as an example of insecurity being taken too far.

At the same time, some people are urging caution before declaring the surgery permanently botched. Rhinoplasty often takes many months to settle, and swelling can significantly alter appearance in the early recovery period. A number of commenters have pointed out that it is still too soon to know the final result and that judgments made only weeks after surgery may not reflect how he will ultimately look.

Clavicular got EMOTIONAL after realizing Dr Miami may have RUINED his nose forever and cost him his entire career pic.twitter.com/9ykk6wXiU7
— KickChamp (@Kick_Champ) June 11, 2026

What makes the reaction feel sad to many observers is not merely the possibility of an unsatisfactory cosmetic outcome. It is the perception that someone widely regarded as naturally good-looking felt pressure to keep changing himself in pursuit of an even more “perfect” face. Whether the surgery eventually settles into a better result or not, much of the internet sees this episode as a cautionary tale about chasing unattainable beauty standards and failing to appreciate features that were already admired by countless people online.

Few political photographs have generated quite as much speculation as the image of Donald Trump standing in conversation with two eerily similar blond men.

At first glance, it appears unremarkable: a world leader in discussion with two uniformed figures. But look a little longer and the image begins to acquire the strange quality that fuels internet mythology. The men are nearly identical in appearance. Their long platinum-blond hair falls to their shoulders. Their pale complexions seem almost theatrical. Their ornate red uniforms look less like modern political attire and more like costumes from a science-fiction epic.

And that is where the theories begin.

Across UFO forums, conspiracy websites, and social media threads, observers have repeatedly drawn comparisons between the mysterious figures and one of the most enduring legends in extraterrestrial folklore: the Nordic aliens. Described in decades of UFO literature as tall, fair-haired, human-looking visitors from advanced civilizations, the so-called Nordics have occupied a peculiar place in conspiracy culture since the 1950s.

“They look exactly like classic Nordics,” one commenter wrote beneath a reposted version of the image. Another claimed, “This is the kind of thing that makes you wonder who world leaders are really meeting behind closed doors.”

The Nordic alien myth has always differed from other extraterrestrial narratives. Unlike the frightening invaders of popular culture, Nordics are typically portrayed as elegant, intelligent, and deeply involved in humanity’s development. Some believers claim they have quietly guided governments and influential figures throughout history. Others suggest they serve as intermediaries between humanity and more advanced cosmic civilizations.

It is perhaps inevitable that a photograph like this would attract such interpretations.

The image possesses all the ingredients conspiracy theorists love: powerful political figures, unusual-looking companions, an air of exclusivity, and just enough ambiguity to invite endless speculation. Every detail becomes evidence. The hair. The uniforms. The symmetry. Even the apparent familiarity between Trump and the two men is scrutinized for hidden meaning.

Skeptics, of course, point out that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. A striking appearance does not make someone extraterrestrial, and photographs rarely tell the full story behind an event.

Yet conspiracy theories rarely thrive because they are proven. They thrive because they are compelling.

Whether the men in the photograph are ceremonial figures, performers, officials, or something considerably less ordinary, the image continues to provoke the same question among believers: if Nordic aliens really existed, would a meeting between them and one of the world’s most powerful political figures look very different from this?

National Animal Rights Day 2026 in London brought together more than one hundred activists, artists, advocates and members of the public for a day of remembrance, solidarity and action on behalf of animals.

The day began outside Buckingham Palace, where a large silent procession gathered beneath the palace gates. Participants wore matching black “Our Planet. Theirs Too.” T-shirts, creating a powerful visual statement of unity and shared purpose. The slogan, prominently displayed in bright blue lettering, reflected the central message of the event: that animals are fellow inhabitants of the Earth whose lives and interests deserve recognition and protection.

Activists stood in silence carrying memorial photographs of animals, while others held banners bearing the words “The National Animal Rights Day – London, UK.” NEO 10Y also raised a sign reading CHOOSE LOVE (one of his songs) above the crowd, a message that became emblematic of the tone of the day. The procession was designed as a peaceful act of remembrance for the billions of animals killed annually through farming, experimentation, entertainment and other forms of exploitation. In contrast to the usual noise and movement surrounding Buckingham Palace, the demonstration relied on silence to communicate its message, encouraging reflection among both participants and onlookers.

Despite the peaceful nature of the gathering, the procession was ultimately shut down by police before it could fully proceed as planned. Nevertheless, participants remained calm and respectful, maintaining the dignity and solemnity that had defined the event from the outset.

Following the procession, attendees gathered at St Mark’s Church, Regent’s Park, for the main National Animal Rights Day ceremony, hosted by NEO 10Y. The historic church provided a striking setting for an event that blended remembrance, activism, music and community. Beneath the church’s vaulted stone interior and rose window, activists, performers and guests came together to celebrate progress while acknowledging the work that remains ahead.

Speakers included Wayne Hsiung, Rose Patterson, Zouletta Shares, Matthew Glover and Polly Foreman, each offering perspectives on animal liberation, ethical living, grassroots activism and the growing momentum of the global animal rights movement. Their talks highlighted both the urgency of the issues facing animals and the importance of building compassionate alternatives.

Music formed a central part of the programme, with performances fromPimms Brooke, Akeira Jade, Kiera-Lorelle, Staraskia and Japa Healing – The Priestexes. The artists brought moments of reflection, healing and celebration, adding emotional depth to the day’s proceedings.

The event concluded with a group gathering inside the church, where attendees once again proudly wore their “Our Planet. Theirs Too.” shirts while posing beneath the sanctuary’s stone arches. The atmosphere had shifted from solemn remembrance to hope and collective determination. The final performance of the evening saw NEO 10Y debut his new single, ANTiDoTe, a powerful closing moment that united activists, artists and supporters in a shared vision of a more compassionate future for all beings.

National Animal Rights Day 2026 demonstrated the strength, diversity and creativity of London’s animal rights community. From the silent procession at Buckingham Palace to the music-filled gathering at St Mark’s Church, the day served as both a memorial for animals lost and a call to action for a world in which all life is treated with dignity, respect and compassion.

George Knight‘s shock departure from Love Island after just a few days in the villa has already become the first major mystery of the 2026 series. ITV’s official line is that the footballer left for “private reasons”, but the lack of detail has inevitably sparked intense speculation among fans.

One theory gaining traction online is that George may have been overwhelmed by the sudden scrutiny that comes with appearing on one of Britain’s biggest reality shows. Unlike contestants who spend weeks building up to their arrival, George entered as an early bombshell and was immediately placed at the centre of one of the season’s most controversial twists. Within 24 hours of arriving, he and fellow newcomer Yasmin were forced to choose islanders to send home, instantly making them targets for criticism from viewers and fans of the dumped contestants.

Another area of speculation concerns social media activity and allegations that surfaced shortly after George entered the villa. Some viewers began discussing claims of previous behaviour and alleged racist comments. At the time of writing, no evidence has emerged that ITV cited such allegations as a reason for his departure, and neither George nor the broadcaster has publicly linked his exit to those discussions. Nevertheless, the speed with which online controversy develops around Love Island contestants means that negative attention can become intense very quickly.

Emily on Twitter says, “literally said he hates ope, dumped samraj out for no reason when he made out with robyn and made it clear that he had feelings for her. didn’t even get to know jasmine or angelista??? oh george we know ur a racist…”

literally said he hates ope, dumped samraj out for no reason when he made out with robyn and made it clear that he had feelings for her. didn’t even get to know jasmine or angelista??? oh george we know ur a racist…#loveisland #loveislanduk pic.twitter.com/iqM3YQV1QI
— emily ✚ ꕤ (@eternalsunemily) June 3, 2026

There is also the possibility that the explanation is exactly what ITV says it is: a private personal matter unrelated to the programme. Previous Love Island contestants have left for family issues, mental health concerns, medical reasons, or circumstances that producers chose not to disclose publicly. Given ITV’s increasing emphasis on contestant welfare, producers may simply have decided that leaving was the best option for George.

The timing, however, is what makes the story so intriguing. George appeared to be settling into villa life, was exploring connections with both Mica and Robyn, and had already become a central figure in the season’s opening storyline. That makes his sudden departure feel less like a planned exit and more like something unexpected occurring behind the scenes.

Until George speaks publicly, all theories remain just that: theories. For now, the only confirmed fact is that he has left the villa, and the real reason remains known only to George and those closest to him.

I Should’ve Let You Go opens with a textured drum riff and bold piano performance with breathy ad-libs before Prience Moore shares the title of the track with luscious harmonised vocals and cerebral vocal riffs. We love the vocal production, the expanding strings arrangement and the dynamics of the sound design.

As for the message, I Should’ve Let You Go is super relatable and Prience (aka Prince) Moore tells us, “This song came from a personal situation that shaped my life.”. There is a cinematic allure which would make the track perfect for a sync placement in a show like Beauty in Black on Netflix, perhaps a scene with Charles and Varney.

Prience Moore‘s vocal range is sublime – he delivers the lyrics with raw emotion and introspection, and we connect with the world that the star pulls us into. The astral piano solo is simply transcendental, inviting us to connect with the high emotional quotient of the song.

There is a trip-hop energy that comes to life, and fans of Frank Ocean, MGMT, and Sufjan Stevens will also be able to vibe with I Should’ve Let You Go. The artist shares, “I have many musical influences from Beethoven to Aerosmith.” The moments with a stripped-back piano are absolutely enchanting, the way Prience harmonizes with himself is exquisite.

On the creative process, Prience tells us, “The writing came from experience, so it just flowed. The concept of a beat that wouldn’t overpower the message was a concern for me at first. Then Mike started playing the piano and WOW! The piano interlude-bridge is my favorite part of the song.”

When quizzed about who the song is inspired by, Prience coyly says, “The principal inspiration for this song will remain nameless.”

Needless to say, we love the mystery and what Prience Moore is manifesting. We have added I Should’ve Let You Go to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Prience Moore, including Hard to Write, No You and Me, and What Would You Do.

Drawing us in with an intricate Americana-folk mandolin performance, expanding with guitar layers, French Vague opens Ride the Wave with optimism and dimensionality as he shares the lyrics, “Ride the wave of love, ride the wave of pain until nothing remains…”

The philosophical track expands with poetic prowess and instrumental mastery to create a cohesive tapestry of sound tapping into nostalgic elements with power-pop and hybrid-folk adjacency. There is a cinematic allure that comes to life and we could imagine this being featured in a movie like the Oscar-winning One Battle After Another, or perhaps a TV show like PLUR1BUS or the existential Nine Perfect Strangers.

In essence, the song uses the idea of a “wave” as a metaphor for emotional experience. French Vague references notions of love, pain, joy and bliss, which rise and fall in cycles – a poignant and accurate depiction of the human lived experience.

We appreciate how the narrative moves between vulnerability and acceptance. Lyrics like the “ghost of the day” bring to life lingering thoughts and past burdens, whilst the “arms of the night” and “muse of my nights” cement a more comforting and healing perspective.

Overall, the song frames love and life as uncontrolled, inviting us to trust the universe and the journey through surrender, endurance, and emotional immersion.

We learn that the composition is credited to French Vague, who is also known as Greg Hermann, performing vocals, mandocello, and octave mandolin. Backing vocals, bass, guitar, keyboards, and percussion are handled by Jacob Blizard.

Speaking on the release, French Vague tells us, “Ride the Wave is a song I wrote at a time of emotional turmoil. I was grieving my mum and the loss of a long-term relationship, and I slowly realised I was also falling in love with someone else at the same time. It was a beautiful mess.”

Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added Ride the Wave to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of French Vague, including his debut single, Consider This.

For years, Gaz Oakley built an entire career on veganism. As the face of “Avant Garde Vegan,” he became one of the most recognisable plant-based chefs in the world, selling cookbooks, growing a massive YouTube audience and inspiring countless people to rethink their relationship with animals. That is why recent podcast discussions where he explicitly said he is now willing to eat animals such as deer (venison), pigeons and “invasive” crayfish have landed as such a shock to many longtime supporters. He also suggested that single-ingredient tofu is “processed”, which is a fallacy.

Oakley was never just another recipe creator. He was elevated by the vegan community as proof that compassionate eating could be exciting, athletic, creative and mainstream. Vegan supporters bought his books, shared his content and defended him against critics because they believed he genuinely stood for animal liberation.

In the past, Oakley spoke passionately about why he abandoned animal products altogether. In a profile published by Viva!, he said: “no longer would I be part of the cruelty towards animals again.” That statement was powerful precisely because it sounded absolute. It framed veganism not as a temporary diet, but as a moral line he would not cross.

The backlash online has been fierce, with many former supporters accusing Oakley of abandoning the ethical principles that made him famous. One Reddit user wrote: “How the fuck can you live with yourself or look anyone in the eye after you’ve understood the suffering, put an end to your contribution to it and then decided ‘Actually no, I’m ok with that’.” Another described him as “a narcissistic grifter,” while a third claimed: “The ‘Plant based influencer profiting from the vegan community to turning their back on veganism once their profile and platform has built up’ pipeline strikes again.” The reaction reflects a growing sense among parts of the vegan community that Oakley’s shift toward hunting and “natural food” rhetoric is not just disappointing, but a complete rejection of the values he once publicly championed.

His rise was meteoric. Viva! described him as “a leading figure in the vegan movement,” while podcasts and media outlets repeatedly celebrated him as a “plant-based champion.” His books, including Vegan 100 and Plants-Only Kitchen, became staples in vegan households. He wasn’t simply benefiting from veganism commercially; he was actively shaping the culture around it.

That is why this apparent pivot feels, to many vegans, like a betrayal rather than a personal dietary change.

The justification reportedly revolves around ideas of sustainability, foraging and controlling invasive species. Oakley has increasingly moved toward homesteading and “reconnecting with the land,” speaking in recent interviews about self-sufficiency, permaculture and living closer to nature. But for many ethical vegans, killing animals because they are considered overpopulated or invasive still fundamentally contradicts the values he once promoted.

The issue is not simply whether Gaz Oakley eats venison or crayfish. The issue is that millions of people were encouraged to trust him as a voice for animals. Veganism, at its core, asks people to reject the idea that animal lives are expendable when convenience, taste or environmental arguments arise.

For supporters who helped build his platform, this shift feels less like evolution and more like abandonment. The animals he once defended are now apparently back on the menu, and many in the vegan community are left wondering whether the movement that made Gaz Oakley famous was ultimately just another phase in his personal brand.

Drawing us in with a mediative frequency, vinyl texture, and ASMR vocals, blue pablo opens baby, mess me entirely with ethereal dimensionality, self-reflection and an invitation to breathe. The opus expands with an atmospheric trap beat and whispered vocals with astral melodic riffs.

We appreciate the poetic prowess and the raw authenticity that transmutes with baby, mess me entirely. Speaking on the release, blue pablo confesses, “I wrote this song back when I felt like I was using lust and sex in order to not feel sad or heavily distract myself from harsh events from my life. It’s a song about performative euphoria laced with moans and alcohol.”

The cinematic allure is tangible, and we could imagine baby, mess me entirely in a scene with Cassie and Maddy in Euphoria on HBO, or perhaps an episode of Elite on Netflix. blue pablo cites Lana Del Rey, Shygirl and Rihanna as sonic influences for the track, which we can feel manifest. Fans of Kelela would also be able to vibe with what blue pablo has created.

The rising artist from Albuquerque elaborates, “This song delves into I think a niche topic. Not so much the sexiness of it but overall the performance of it all. The intro quite literally is (chewed glass, sliced gums, digest, throw up).”

Philosophically, blue pablo continues, “Your body will quite literally reject something obviously bad for you but the intent is there. The song is layered with sexiness but performance, destruction… but knowingly. It’s all a very confusing and layered experience. Using a man’s love as a way to feel important and wanted. Distraction at its finest.”

We love the depth and the overarching sound design of the track. blue pablo‘s flow is sublime and we appreciate the switch-ups of the delivery, whilst the artist continues to showcase a cohesive tapestry of sound. The piano outro and strings add elegance, before rippling drums and vocalizations in the final moments.

Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added baby, mess me entirely to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of blue pablo, including Wasted Awayyy, and Beautiful Gods.

Establishing the mood with a meditative frequency and a hummed vocalization, expanding with an intricate piano performance, Danny Grove (stylized as dannygrovemusic) opens Thought You Won with a delicate timbre and the lyrics, “Seven years, you thought you won… seven years and fire ashes falling through the rain, best friends, lovers, now I barely know your name..”

We immediately connect with the relatable message that manifests and Danny’s raw vulnerability. The timeless nature of the pop production with padded drums, percussion clicks would go down well with fans of Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber.

In essence, Thought You Won tells the story of dealing with heartbreak and betrayal. Danny shares how he slowly becomes emotionally numb after love fades away, but there is catharsis and empowerment in the overarching message as the song questions who truly came out stronger after the relationship collapsed.

Speaking on the release, Danny candidly says, ““Past ..they didn’t win! Feel the words in your heart, don’t ask questions, unless you have won this breakup and moved on. A journey with love and experience – it can be tough but can you judge who won.”

The vocals are dynamic and dimensional with luscious harmonies and a timeless cinematic energy which would be perfect for a scene in a TV show like My Life with the Walter Boys, or perhaps a film like The Love Hypothesis.

We learn that Danny Grove is an emerging creator from Telford, England, delivering dark emotional R&B with cinematic vocals and raw honesty. His modus operandi is to transform heartbreak, toxic love, and vulnerable late-night emotions into relatable anthems with a powerful sad-boy aesthetic.

Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added Thought You Won to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Danny Grove, including Nothing To Me, and Love Matrix.
