There is very little chance that The Comeback will return for a fourth season. In fact, everyone involved with the show has made it clear that Season 3 was designed to be the ending of Valerie Cherish’s story.

The HBO comedy, co-created by and starring Lisa Kudrow, originally premiered in 2005 before being canceled after one season. Nearly a decade later, the series was revived for Season 2 in 2014, earning renewed praise from critics and audiences. Then, after another long gap, HBO brought the series back again in 2026 for what was officially promoted as its “third and final season.”

Speculation about a possible Season 4 increased because the show has a history of unexpected revivals. Fans reasoned that if it could come back once after cancellation, it might happen again. However, Kudrow and co-creator Michael Patrick King have repeatedly shut down those rumors.

During press interviews for Season 3, Kudrow explained that the story was intentionally structured as a trilogy. She reportedly said, “It’s a trilogy,” while King jokingly added, “We’re not doing a quad-roly.” The creators emphasized that they wanted to give the character and audience a proper conclusion rather than leave the future open-ended.

Recent interviews also reinforce the idea that the creative team considers the series complete. In a Vogue feature, Kudrow reflected emotionally on saying goodbye to Valerie Cherish and confirmed there were no plans for a fourth season. HBO itself has referred to Season 3 as the “final season,” which usually signals a definitive ending rather than a temporary pause.

That said, fans know better than anyone that The Comeback has always been unpredictable. The series built its reputation around reinvention, satire, and returning years later with something new to say about Hollywood. Reddit discussions and fan reactions show that many viewers still hope Valerie Cherish could someday return in another format, perhaps as a special, documentary-style project, or even another revival years down the line.

Still, based on all current statements from HBO, Kudrow, and King, Season 4 is not happening. For now, Season 3 appears to be the true farewell to one of television’s most unique cult comedies.

Fans of Beauty in Black are already asking the biggest question after the explosive ending of Season 2: when will Season 3 arrive on Netflix? While Netflix has not announced an exact premiere date yet, the good news is that the show has officially been renewed for a third — and reportedly final — season.

Current reports suggest the new season could arrive in late 2026 or early 2027. Several entertainment outlets have pointed out that creator Tyler Perry is known for fast production schedules, which means the turnaround may be quicker than many Netflix dramas. Some fan discussions online even claim filming may already be complete, although Netflix has not officially confirmed that information.

The series has become one of Tyler Perry’s most talked-about Netflix projects thanks to its mix of family betrayal, crime, romance, and power struggles. The story follows Kimmie, played by Taylor Polidore Williams, whose rise from hardship to power shocked viewers throughout the first two seasons. By the end of Season 2, Kimmie had positioned herself at the top of the Bellarie empire while major secrets exploded around the family business.

Season 3 is expected to focus heavily on the consequences of Kimmie’s takeover. Many fans believe the Bellarie family will attempt revenge, leading to even more betrayals and dangerous alliances. There are also several unfinished storylines that viewers expect the show to resolve, including FBI investigations, family rivalries, and romantic tensions between key characters.

Most of the main cast is expected to return, including Crystle Stewart and Ricco Ross. Fans are also predicting shocking character deaths and surprise alliances as the series heads toward its finale. Reddit discussions have been filled with theories about who could survive the final season and who might finally get revenge.

Although Netflix is keeping many details secret, one thing seems certain: Season 3 will likely deliver the same over-the-top drama and cliffhangers that made Beauty in Black such a streaming hit. Until an official release date is announced, late 2026 remains the strongest prediction.

British singer and actor FKA twigs is officially set to play legendary entertainer and activist Josephine Baker in a new biopic that is already generating major awards-season buzz. Here’s everything we know so far.

The film will be written, directed, and produced by French filmmaker Maïmouna Doucouré, best known for her acclaimed 2020 film Cuties. Doucouré has reportedly been attached to the project since 2022, and the movie is now moving forward with backing from Studiocanal. Production is expected to begin in autumn 2026, with filming scheduled for the fall.

The biopic has also been developed with the cooperation of Baker’s surviving sons, Jean-Claude and Brian Bouillon Baker, giving the project an added layer of authenticity and family approval.

Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, said she was “honoured” to take on the role, calling Baker’s legacy “such an inspiration” and describing her as a “visionary, ground-breaking woman whose story is as powerful as it is relevant today.” She added that she cannot wait to bring Baker’s “fight, love, losses, talent and heroism” to the big screen.

Doucouré has said she wants the film to go beyond the glamorous public image of Baker and explore her contradictions, emotional wounds, courage, and relentless fight for dignity and equality. That means audiences can expect a deeper portrait of Baker, not just her rise as a Jazz Age icon in 1920s Paris, but also her work in the French Resistance during World War II and her activism during the American Civil Rights Movement.

The project also seems to confirm that the previously announced A24 television series about Baker starring Janelle Monáeis no longer moving forward. That series was announced in 2022 but never materialized.

Online reaction has been mixed but highly engaged. Some fans on Reddit have praised the casting, calling Twigs “perfect” and “Oscar nomination worthy,” while others questioned whether she has the acting range for such a demanding lead role, with some suggesting names like Ruth Negga or Janelle Monáe instead.

Still, with Twigs’ dance background, striking screen presence, and Baker’s own legacy of reinvention and fearless artistry, this could become one of the most talked-about music biopics of the next few years.

A new film exploring the turbulent friendship between fashion icon Alexander McQueen and influential stylist Isabella Blow is officially in development, with Russell Tovey and Olivia Colman attached to star. The upcoming project, titled Wild Bird, is already generating major awards buzz thanks to its acclaimed creative team and emotionally charged subject matter.

According to reports from Variety, the film will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Andrew Haigh, best known for All of Us Strangers and Weekend. Rather than a traditional cradle-to-grave biopic, Wild Bird is described as a short film that imagines McQueen and Blow embarking on a symbolic road trip in search of “emotional redemption.”

Tovey will portray McQueen, while Colman takes on the role of Blow — the eccentric fashion editor widely credited with discovering the designer early in his career. Their relationship was famously intense, creative and ultimately tragic. Blow championed McQueen’s early collections and helped launch him into the fashion world, but their friendship deteriorated after his rise to international fame at Givenchy.

The emotional weight of the story is heightened by the real-life tragedies surrounding both figures. Blow died in 2007, and McQueen later dedicated a fashion show to her memory. McQueen himself died in 2010, cementing his legacy as one of Britain’s most visionary and tortured designers.

Tovey, who also wrote the screenplay, has spoken passionately about his fascination with McQueen. In comments reported after the announcement, the actor said he had long wanted to portray the designer and explore the “beautifully tragic” bond between McQueen and Blow.

The production also boasts serious fashion pedigree behind the scenes. Three-time Oscar-winning costume designer Sandy Powell is attached to the project, raising expectations that the film will faithfully recreate McQueen’s dramatic and theatrical designs. BAFTA-winning producer Susie Hall is producing alongside Haigh and Tovey.

Wild Bird is being produced for WePresent by WeTransfer, though no release date has yet been announced. Still, with Colman and Tovey leading the cast and Haigh directing, the project is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated fashion films in development.

Thirty years after its release, The Craft remains one of the most beloved cult movies of the 1990s. Released on May 3, 1996, the supernatural teen thriller mixed horror, friendship, rebellion and witchcraft in a way that felt fresh and daring for its time. Although critics were divided when it first arrived in cinemas, audiences connected deeply with the story of four teenage outsiders discovering power, identity and revenge. Over the decades, the film has grown from a modest box office hit into a defining piece of pop culture.

Directed by Andrew Fleming and starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True, the movie followed four misfit girls who form a coven and experiment with dark magic. Its themes of loneliness, bullying and empowerment still resonate with audiences today, especially young viewers who see themselves in the characters’ struggles.

There are also plenty of fascinating facts about the film that many fans may not know. First, Robin Tunney was actually wearing a wig for most of the movie because she had shaved her head for her role in Empire Records shortly before filming began.

Second, the filmmakers hired a real Wiccan consultant, Pat Devin, to help make the rituals and spells feel authentic. Many of the chants and ceremonies shown in the film were inspired by genuine practices, although the deity “Manon” was invented for the movie.

Third, the movie unintentionally predicted the explosion of witch-themed pop culture that followed in the late 1990s, including shows like Charmed and films such as Practical Magic.

Fourth, Rachel True later revealed she was often excluded from promotional opportunities during the film’s release, something many fans now view as part of Hollywood’s wider issues with representation during the 1990s.

Finally, one of the movie’s most iconic lines — “We are the weirdos, mister” — became an anthem for generations of outsiders who embraced the film’s gothic style and message of belonging.

What makes The Craft endure is its atmosphere. The soundtrack, fashion, emotional storytelling and unforgettable performances, especially Fairuza Balk’s intense portrayal of Nancy, continue to inspire fans three decades later. It is more than just a teen horror film; it is a movie about friendship, identity and the danger of unchecked power. That emotional honesty is why The Craft still casts a spell on audiences today.

After the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar became the face of an oddly consistent Hollywood pattern: cast her, market the nostalgia, cancel the project, repeat.

Her post-Buffy television graveyard includes:

Ringer, cancelled after 1 season

The Crazy Ones, cancelled after 1 season

Wolf Pack, cancelled after 1 season

Cruel Intentions, never picked up

Hot Pink, scrapped before series order

Other People’s Houses, not picked up

Sometimes I Lie, stalled in development

The announced Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot, which already feels less like artistic reinvention and more like Hollywood digging up its safest possible IP yet again

The problem is not that Sarah Michelle Gellar lacks talent. It is that the entertainment industry cannot seem to imagine her outside a museum display labeled “millennial nostalgia.”

Hollywood keeps treating Gellar like a time capsule from the WB era instead of a working actor capable of evolution. Every few years, executives dust her off for a project designed to trigger emotional recognition rather than creative risk. Even when the material is different, the subtext remains the same: “Remember Buffy?”

In a recent interview with Numéro Netherlands, she says, “Buffy is truly the job that dreams in this business are built on. You can only hope that work you do will hold up years later and still be relevant and appreciated. I am very aware how truly rare this is and am beyond grateful.”

That is the real curse of legacy television fame. Male stars from cult hits often graduate into prestige dramas, directing careers, or complicated antiheroes. Women, especially women associated with genre fandom, are too often trapped preserving the emotional memory of who they were at 25. Gellar has spent two decades being offered variations of her own cultural afterimage.

The proposed Buffy revival makes the cycle even more obvious. Instead of building a bold new identity around her experience, age, or range, the industry returns to the one role it believes audiences will eternally consume. Nostalgia has become both her brand and her prison.

And Hollywood wonders why television feels creatively dead.

Few films arrive already carrying the electric charge of a midnight movie legend, but Forbidden Fruits does exactly that. The 2026 release feels less like a new film and more like a long-lost classic that somehow slipped through time, arriving fully formed with the attitude, style, and razor-sharp bite of the best cult teen dark comedies. Like Heathers, Jawbreaker, Cruel Intentions, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Jennifer’s Body, The Craft, and even Mean Girls at its most vicious, Forbidden Fruits understands that teenage desire, social warfare, and identity crises are often best explored through heightened reality and deliciously sharp satire.

What makes Forbidden Fruits instantly unforgettable is its refusal to play things safely. It leans into glamour and danger with complete confidence, creating a world where every hallway conversation feels like a duel and every outfit is part of the storytelling. Its visual language is lush, hyper-stylized, and intoxicating, balancing dreamlike beauty with a sense of lurking menace. Like Jawbreaker’s candy-colored cruelty or Heathers’ suburban nightmare dressed in prep school blazers, Forbidden Fruits builds a universe that feels both exaggerated and emotionally true.

At the center is a script that knows exactly how to weaponize wit. The dialogue snaps with quotable precision, the kind of lines audiences repeat for years because they are funny, brutal, and strangely profound all at once. Cult classics survive because they speak in a language their audience wants to adopt, and Forbidden Fruits is full of those lines, moments, and glances that immediately become cultural shorthand.

But style alone never creates a cult classic. What elevates Forbidden Fruits is its emotional intelligence beneath the gloss. Like Jennifer’s Body, it uses genre to talk about power, female rage, friendship, and the violence of expectation. Like The Craft, it examines what happens when belonging becomes more dangerous than isolation. Its satire lands because it is rooted in real anxieties about beauty, status, sexuality, and survival.

The performances seal its legacy. Every great cult film needs actors who understand the assignment, not realism, but truth through performance. Forbidden Fruits has that fearless commitment. Its cast embraces the heightened tone without losing vulnerability, making the characters iconic rather than caricatures.

The result is a film that feels instantly rewatchable, endlessly discussable, and destined for revival screenings, themed parties, and academic essays alike. Forbidden Fruits is not simply inspired by the great cult classics before it. It earns its place beside them. It arrives already knowing that the best teen movies are never really about teenagers, they are about power, performance, and the beautiful horror of becoming yourself.

Netflix’s surprise 2024 shark thriller Under Paris is officially getting a sequel, and fans now have a much clearer picture of what Under Paris 2 will look like. After months of speculation, Netflix has confirmed that the follow-up is in production and scheduled for release in 2027.

The original film became a huge global success for Netflix, earning more than 102 million views and becoming one of the platform’s most successful non-English language films. Its ending, which left Paris flooded and full of mutated sharks, made a sequel feel almost inevitable.

One of the biggest changes for the sequel is behind the camera. While the first film was directed by Xavier Gens, Under Paris 2 will now be helmed by Alexandre Aja, known for shark and creature features like Piranha 3D and Crawl. Gens remains involved as co-writer and associate producer, helping maintain continuity with the first story.

The story jumps forward three years after the “Paris triathlon disaster.” According to the official synopsis, the center of Paris is now submerged after failed attempts to destroy the sharks caused widespread flooding. Marine scientist Sophia and police commander Adil reunite for a dangerous mission to track Lilith, the original shark, in the Seine. However, they soon discover that the deadly wildlife hides an even bigger mystery.

Returning cast members include Bérénice Bejo as Sophia and Nassim Lyes as Adil. Other names attached include Guillaume Gouix, Philippe Bas, Manon Bresch, and Anne Marivin. The screenplay is being written by a team that includes Aja, Xavier Gens, and several collaborators, suggesting the sequel aims to expand the original world rather than simply repeat it.

Fan reactions online have been mixed but excited. Some Reddit viewers called the first movie “so fun” and praised its wild disaster-movie energy, while others felt the sequel could improve by delivering even bigger chaos and more memorable shark action. Many believe Aja’s experience with horror spectacle could make the second film stronger than the first.

In short, Under Paris 2 looks set to go bigger: a flooded city, returning survivors, and even more sharks beneath Paris. If the first film was chaos, the sequel promises total underwater mayhem.

Few television moments this year have exploded online quite like the chaotic wedding episode of Euphoria Season 3, and at the center of it all is Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie. The question now dominating social media is simple. Is this Emmy-worthy acting, or just another viral TV moment?

In the now infamous episode, Cassie’s dream wedding to Nate Jacobs spirals into a nightmare. What elevates the spectacle is not just the shocking plot, including the violent attack on Nate during the reception, but Sweeney’s ability to shift between emotional extremes. Within minutes, she moves from radiant, almost delusional happiness to sheer terror and devastation, often in the same scene.

Fans have focused heavily on her facial expressions. During the ceremony, Cassie’s smile feels fragile and slightly unsettling, as if it could collapse at any second. When everything falls apart, Sweeney’s crying becomes raw and uneven, avoiding the polished feel that TV drama sometimes leans on. It feels messy and real, which is exactly what viewers are responding to.

The episode has gone viral across platforms, driven by its intensity and unpredictability. The wedding itself, filled with extravagant details, had already sparked conversation before the violence unfolded. Once the attack begins, the tone shifts completely, and clips of Cassie screaming and reacting in shock have circulated widely online.

Much of the online discussion credits Sweeney as the reason the episode works. Even viewers who are critical of the show’s direction this season still point to her performance as a highlight. Across fan reactions, words like unhinged, gripping, and painfully believable come up again and again. Many argue that she captures the mindset of someone desperately holding onto a fantasy while it breaks apart in front of her.

What makes the performance stand out is not just intensity, but control. Sweeney builds Cassie’s emotional journey step by step. Even during the most chaotic moments, her reactions ground the scene and give it weight beyond the shock value.

Of course, going viral does not guarantee awards success. The Emmys often lean toward more restrained performances, and Euphoria can be divisive in its style. Still, if awards are meant to recognize performances that capture attention and deliver emotional range, Sweeney has a strong case.

Whether she wins or not, one thing is clear. This week belongs to Sydney Sweeney, and Cassie’s wedding meltdown may become one of the most talked about television performances of the year.

Drown is less a film you watch than one you endure – and then keep thinking about long after. It’s a hard watch, undeniably, but also a kind of uneasy muse: a film that provokes not through polish or clarity, but through discomfort and contradiction.

At its center is Len, played with coiled intensity by Matt Levett, a surf lifesaving champion whose identity is inseparable from inherited masculinity. His status – echoing his father’s legacy – feels less earned than imposed, a performance he must constantly reaffirm. When Phil (Jack Matthews) arrives – young, physically superior, and quietly self-assured – that performance begins to crack. But it’s the moment Len witnesses Phil’s intimacy with another man that truly destabilizes him. From there, the film charts a brutal psychological spiral where attraction mutates into aggression.

What makes Drown so difficult is how it binds repressed desire to toxic masculinity. Len has no language for what he feels, so he defaults to the only one he knows: dominance, humiliation, violence. His cruelty toward Phil – and others – isn’t just bigotry; it’s a frantic attempt to annihilate parts of himself. Levett’s performance captures this with unsettling precision: his body remains controlled, almost statuesque, while his emotional world fractures. Around him, Harry Cook’s “Meat” embodies the complicity of male peer culture – the silent witness who allows toxicity to metastasize.

Critics met the film with a similar tension. Many praised Levett’s performance as the film’s anchor, noting its raw, immersive quality, while also pointing out structural and tonal inconsistencies. The direction by Dean Francis was often described as visually striking but uneven, at times tipping into excess rather than insight. Audience reactions are equally divided: some see it as a powerful depiction of male repression, others as heavy-handed. Yet even detractors rarely call it forgettable.

That lingering quality is where Drown finds its power. It doesn’t offer resolution or redemption; it offers exposure. The film dissects a version of masculinity so rigid that any deviation feels like collapse. Len’s tragedy is not just that he cannot accept his desire – it’s that he has been given no framework in which acceptance is possible.

In that sense, Drown is less about sexuality than about the violence of denial. It asks a stark question: what happens when identity is built on exclusion, and the excluded truth turns out to be your own? The answer, here, is a slow, suffocating descent – one that is as difficult to watch as it is impossible to ignore.
