“Some of you may know professional olympic athletes, I’m not one of those, some of you might know professional models or train drivers, I’m not one of those, as a vegan it’s tough because you see we all have little devils and little angels on our shoulders, I’m not gonna pretend like we don’t, and sometimes as a vegan, these devils will whisper, A.1. Sauce, A.1. Sauce, don’t you miss A.1. Sauce… meat meat meat, more more more…” share It’s About Good Music as they open Professional Vegan, accompanied by a dimensional and almost meditative soundscape.
Real vegans will know that the original A.1. Sauce is actually vegan, which is actually brilliant, as this serves perfectly for the educational message of the song. The opus expands with intentional depth as a commentary on what it is like to be an ethical vegan. Sure, this might not be the same for all of us, many vegans don’t consider animal products as appetising at all, but the point is, we have been systemically brainwashed by history and culture into eating animals. This is the message that It’s About Good Music brings to life, an understanding that perfection and inner turmoil are real and existential when it comes to living life as a vegan in a non-vegan world.
What is important about the track is its comedic value and relatable notions. This manifests as a powerful tool for vegan activism. To essentially share with non-vegans that we are people too and can be lighthearted.

Also known as It’s About Good Music, the project hails from Los Angeles – one of the vegan capitals of the world, and is the brainchild of Michael Lawrence Morgan (RLA) and Michael Murdock (Rocktopus). Their unique collaboration stems from their college days at Washington University in St. Louis.
Professional Vegan is an intentionally designed track, made to challenge stereotypes and promotes a holistic lifestyle. We learn that it is influenced by the Dankmus song Snrub and inspired by comedians like Pete Holmes. The track was recorded at the renowned Flapper’s Comedy Club in Burbank, California.
Needless to say, we are appreciative of this art as activism and have added Professional Vegan to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY playlist, whilst we anticipate future collaborations and Michael Lawrence Morgan (RLA)’s performance at Flapper’s Comedy in Burbank on March 14th, 2026!
