Drawing us in with an atmospheric riser and textured, choral ad-lib vocalizations, LZ7 and Gracie open Perfect Duet with a luscious, dimensional synthscape and the lyrics, “You and me the Perfect Duet, heavenly woven together, a summer we could never forget, you and me the Perfect Duet…”
We immediately connect with the high vibrational energy and warm tones that manifest with the track. The production is sublime and the concept of the song is relatable with an emotional quotient that reminds us of the raw authenticity of human connection. The cosmic high synths with shooting details that emerge paint a universal picture. This is cohesive with the celestial notions of the lyrics – a genius production nuance.
There is no doubt that Perfect Duet would be a great fit for a multitude of sync placements, notably a TV show like Euphoria on HBO, My Life with the Walter Boys, or potential new seasons of Heartbreak High.
The EDM-pop build of the track is genius with sonic drum and bass intricacies and a timeless dynamism that feels festival ready. We could imagine this coming to life at Coachella, and are not surprised to hear that LZ7 are supporting Jason Derulo on his The Last Dance tour across the UK, Ireland and Europe!
We learn that the UK electronic group is led by Lindz West and based between London and Manchester. LZ7 will be performing the track at major arenas including Glasgow, London’s O2, Dublin and many European cities, before headlining selected dates in Leeds and Manchester. See full list of dates below!
We love what LZ7 are creating, and have added Perfect Duet to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the collective, including Rewind (with Solomon Olds), and Risk It All (with Steven Malcolm).
