Establishing the mood with an ethereal bell-tone synth performance, tapping into a meditative and peaceful energy, expanding with a cerebral producer tag, Prolific, Miko X opens HOLIDAZE with dimensionality and intrigue.
The track evolves with textured drums and an emotive performance with evocative flow switch-ups as Miko X shares the lyrics, “We spend, holidays, all alone, call me crazy but I don’t want them to see what I do to you, what you do to me, the mind can’t fit in a box…”
Essentially, HOLIDAZE is about a secret relationship. Miko X details how they spend holidays alone to stay hidden. Whilst the star may not want others to see their sexual chemistry, what they do to each other feels intense and private – it is them versus the world.
There is a strong focus on ambition and momentum within the development of the lyrics. This feels empowering, as Miko X shares about moving forward and never going back. There is no doubt that the star is focussed on his development, and his smooth and cohesive fusion of R&B and rap will definitely help him manifest that. Confidence drives him, and he sees success in his future, as do we.
The second verse mixes ego, desire and hustle culture. He reminds us of his talent, his impressive endowment below the wait, and his philosophy of ignoring haters. In the end, the hook repeats, showing that no matter the chaos, they keep choosing to be alone together.

HOLIDAZE shows the North Carolina artist expanding his sound whilst he maintains his reflective core. Overall, the track highlights his intimate nature, choosing connection over tradition. Producer Prolific really came through with the soundscape, and is known for work with Vory, DaBaby, Fetty P. Franklin and Future.
Since 2016, Miko X has toured the East Coast and gained momentum, with U Copy? passing 103,000 Spotify streams. HOLIDAZE serves as a preview for his forthcoming solo project supported by cinematic visuals.
Needless to say, we are impressed by Miko X‘s depth and purpose, and have added HOLIDAZE to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Miko X‘s wider discography, and anticipate the remainder of his project!
