We previously featured Caitty as she shared her soul on her hauntingly transcendental opus, Ruined, so when we heard that the rising star was back with 16 Again, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
What is interesting is that as we write this in 2026, there is a global social media trend where people are sharing their footage and images from 2016 as throwback. This coincidence between the title of Caitty‘s new single, and the trend feels like a synchronicity.
The track opens with an intricate guitar riff and atmospheric vocals as Caitty sings the title of the track with situational prose and an unmistakably country-pop vibe. Her voice is sublime and full of charisma, but also manifests with pop perfection.
The hook is charming, and playful, perfect for a range of sync deals like a TV show such as My Life With The Walter Boys or The Summer I Turned Pretty. We appreciate the overarching notion of the song, that a powerful love connection can make you feel 16 Again, tapping into the purity and open-eyed wonderment of being a youth in love. It is based on how Caitty’s current love connection makes her feel.

Caitty‘s songwriting feels raw and organic. It is laced with poetic prowess and intentionality. She confesses, “16 Again is about that love that makes everything feel new and exciting again, the kind of love that makes you laugh, love hard, and feel sixteen all over again. It’s fun, and silly and intoxicating. It’s an easygoing track, but it carries that spark that inspired it from the very beginning of my relationship.”
As for her purpose as an artist, Caitty adds, “I [create] heartfelt, catchy songs about real life, and the moments that make you feel alive.”
Needless to say, we are in awe, and have added 16 Again to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Caitty‘s wider discography, including Back to You, Suitcase By The Door, and Revenge.
