By now, you will know that our admiration for recording artist Tom Minor runs deep! We have featured a slew of his songs, and are always excited to hear more from the consistent and talented artist. Naturally, when we heard that Tom had a Boxing Day release called Change It!, we were curious and couldn’t wait to share our experience.
Establishing the mood with a timeless guitar soundscape, Tom assertively sings, “I’m gonna change it…” – the message feels like a mantra – perfect for the dawn of a new year! We appreciate the positive energy that the track exudes.
As always, the track is masterfully produced, and the prose feels intentional! There is introspection that comes to life as well as a cinematic allure, which would make the track perfect for a self-realized coming-of-age movie.
We love the sonic switch-up for the middle eight, the meditative organ, the change in Tom’s flow, and the emotional quotient that comes to life before an anthemic finale that truly reinforces the message. The spoken word moments at the end are brilliant and add dimensionality to the track, leaving us yearning for more.

In essence, Change It! serves as a sharp, defiant call-to-arms about refusing to disappear into frustration and unrealised potential. The song urges us to confront confusion, FOMO and stagnation head-on. It’s a song about deciding to act now, without waiting for permission or certainty.
We learn that the song paves the way for Tom Minor’s upcoming sophomore album, Ten New Toe-Tappers for Shoplifting & Self-Mutilation, due in early 2026, and follows on from Future Is an F Word. The track features Johnny Dalston on guitar and is produced with Teaboy Palmer (aka The Basher of Belsize Park).
Needless to say, we deeply appreciate Tom Minor‘s message, and have added Change It! to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the visionary artist, and anticipate the release of his new album!
