We previously featured Eylsia Nicolas for her resilience and boundless energy on self-realized and empowering single, A Beautiful Mess, so when we heard that the star was back with a seasonal hit, Hot, Hot, Christmas, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!
Hot, Hot, Christmas opens with astral bell tones with a quintessential festive melody and textured percussion before Elysia sings, “There ain’t no snowman in San Diego, I’m telling you so you don’t go, there ain’t no ice in Miami Beach, we use our cubes for Margaritas…”
The opus expands into a robust and refined pop production with a message about enjoying a Hot, Hot, Christmas at the beach, on the sand at a blistering 82 degrees, along with the seasonal reassurance that “Santa will be coming through…” We appreciate the concept, and the fact that this is what Christmas looks and feels like to many of us all over the world! The layered vocals and epic harmonies are divine, and Elysia paints a vivid image of an alternative Christmas that we do not nearly experience enough in movies, TV shows, and music!
Elysia says, “The song celebrates everyone who doesn’t live in – or doesn’t want – a cold, snowy Christmas. It’s upbeat, fun, and comes with an animated YouTube video featuring fan‑submitted ideas from a holiday contest.”

Eylsia Nicolas – the Irish–Filipina singer-songwriter, entrepreneur, and founder of Nicolas of Palm Beach – has lived a life that transcends imagination. Once a tennis prodigy and the youngest winner of the Irish Open before competing at Wimbledon and the US Open, Eylsia transformed tragedy into triumph after injuries ended her sports career.
She became one of the youngest college presidents in the U.S., launched a luxury fashion brand, and later returned to her first love, which is music. After COVID-19 damaged her lungs and vocal cords, she used patented audio restoration technology from her company Worldipi.com to recover her voice, leading to record-breaking success on the Groover indie charts, where she dominated across six genres and held seven consecutive weeks at #1.
Naturally, we appreciate the perspective and have added Hot, Hot, Christmas to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Eylsia Nicolas, including Wake Up In the Morning, and How Many Times 2.
