Drawing us in with an airy texture and synthscape crescendo, Music Garden (the brainchild of Mark Sutton) opens Time’s Up with dimensionality and intrigue before a pulsating beat immerses us further. A textured riser leads us to a captivating synth melody before the opus evolves with a high octane astral snare.
The snare pulls out to unveil another playful, almost meditative riff. We appreciate the cosmic ebbs and flows that manifest with the composition. It feels celestial, futuristic, yet timeless. A peaceful middle eight invites us into introspection before a boundless EDM build explodes into notions of euphoria. Needless to say, we are completely in awe of the compositional mastery and the high emotional quotient that comes to life with the piece.
Speaking on his artistry, Mark confesses, “My music is received through inspirational thoughts and ideas. I sit at the piano and literally play with the notes to see where they take me. I like to create a visual image in my mind while I’m playing which gives the tunes a story to build on.”
In essence, Time’s Up fuses notions of classic trance with a modern touch. We learn that it is inspired by legends like Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk, but there is no doubt that Mark is creating a universe of his own.

The track creates an energetic yet emotional journey with uplifting melodies and driving rhythms, evoking urgency and transformation. There is a cinematic allure to the piece, perfect for a movie like Dune or even the Limitless series or a Matrix sequel.
Mark Sutton’s compositions are intended to transport us into emotional landscapes, whether in solo piano pieces or full orchestral works, and Time’s Up does just that! With years of dedication, he continues to craft music that resonates deeply, transcending genre boundaries. He says, ““One thing I’ve learned on my journey is that music can freeze time, even when life feels like it’s rushing by. Time’s Up is my reminder that every ending can also be a beginning.”
We have added Time’s Up to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Music Garden, including One More Time, and Barriers.
