Establishing the mood with a shimmering piano riff, expanding into a vibrant rock and roll energy, GAZ open Let It Roll with notions of timelessness and uplifting lyricism, and boundless energy reminiscent of the 1960s.
We connect with the instrumental mastery that manifests and the track’s honky-tonk piano, which flourishes with vibrant brass and epic guitar performances, creating a playful energy that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Josep Antoni Lopez’s vocal performance is delivered with conviction, perfectly aligned with the song’s upbeat momentum. The Barcelona-based band leans into classic rock influences, weaving bluesy licks with propulsive rhythm. Power-pop harmonies lift the chorus, giving the track an anthemic and cinematic quality – perfect for a movie set during that era – exuberantly conjuring images of summer drives, crowded bars, and open-road freedom.

The saxophone solo in the middle injects a classic-rock energy which is also reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Jordi Perdigo’s guitar riffs sparkle with personality, whilst Albert Perdigo’s drum work brings to life relentless enthusiasm.
The band’s 20-year journey is evident with their masterful instrumentation and fusion of playful storytelling. Fans of The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, will also be able to connect with GAZ, but there is no doubt that they are also manifesting a fantastical retro universe of their own.
We have added Let It Roll to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream GAZ‘s wider discography, including More Than A Shooting Star, and I’m Against It.
