Drawing us in with a cerebral texture and luscious ad-libs with accompanying piano and a cosmic guitar, SHARAI opens Get Back with an assertive energy as she sings, “I just wanna get back to the way I was, cos you’re not making me feel like I’m good enough..”
The opus expands with a self-realized message as SHARAI comments on a past connection, how it made her feel, how her empowerment comes from within. She is enforcing her boundaries, and doing it with a captivating timbre and luscious harmonies.
SHARAI confesses, “This song is about finding your way back to the version of yourself that feels strong, seen, and enough. I wanted to create something that people could take personally — like it was written just for them.”
There is a cinematic allure attached to the track, perfect for a range of synch deals – a romantic film with similar themes, or a coming of age TV show like Euphoria on HBO. We love SHARAI‘s range and her distinctive British accent. There is no doubt she is an exceptional singer, blessed with a truly divine voice.

SHARAI cites Tracy Chapman and Emeli Sandé as sonic inspirations which we can feel come through in her art, although it is clear that the 19 year old Londoner is manifesting a journey and sound unto her own.
SHARAI has already carved out a promising path as an independent singer-songwriter. A BRIT School graduate now studying Songwriting at ICMP, she has supported artists like Rachel Chinouriri at her Spotify Radar performance and Sam Wilkinson at The Forge. We learn that Get Back was born on her mum’s guitar and later recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios!
We have added Get Back to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream SHARAI‘s growing discography, and anticipate future releases from the rising star.
