We previously featured Astral Rocks when she shared an anthem of awakening and patriarchal relationships with her sophomore single, A Father’s Cry, so when we heard that the consciously astute star was back with Why War, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Establishing the mood with a cerebral riser and an emotive guitar and piano soundscape, Astral Rocks sings, “Why war? What the heck is going on? What’s this all about? Life is short, life is precious…”
The opus expands with cosmic harmonies as Astral Rocks conveys a highly zeitgeist message about the current state of reality. There is no doubt that we are nearing or indeed already in World War 3. The low vibrational nature of reality is exhausting and as Astral Rocks shares in her lyrics, “My body aches…”
The visionary and prophetic artist paints a picture of a war torn planet, screaming, and in pain as luscious strings accompany her. The expansion of the soundscape is heart-wrenching. The dimensional vocal design feels like the whole of humanity crying out in synch with Astral Rocks as she repeats the refrain, “Why the war?”

Astral Rocks is the hard-hitting voice of Milli Schweizer, her sound is forged through resilience and carried across borders. With airplay on London FM, New York Digital FM, and over 130 indie stations worldwide, alongside praise from the BBC and features on A-list playlists, Astral Rocks stands not as an emerging artist, but as a rising force whose cinematic, soul-stirring sound is destined to resonate far beyond Switzerland.
We have added Why War to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Astral Rocks‘ exquisite, growing discography, including IN THE DARK, A Father’s Cry, and the sensational, Budapest I’m Finally Home, and check out Milli’s book, Whispers from the Deep!
