Lost in Town take us on a conscious yet introspective trip with poignant new single, Summer With Rain

Establishing the mood with an intimate guitar performance and charismatic vocals, Lost in Town open Summer With Rain with the lyrics, “Feels like summer with rain, I thought of you today, and to all the times when you were here and I was on my way…”

The opus expands with textured drums and a cinematic allure in line with Lost in Town‘s narrative-driven brand of storytelling. The lush alternative rock soundscape that manifests reminds us of iconic bands of the 90s and 2000s like Muse, Bush, and Soundgarden. Needless to say, we are in awe.

The poetic prowess and metaphorical introspection of the lyrics is tangible. We connect with the authenticity that transmutes. The astral guitar riffs that detail the verses are sublime, and the anthemic vibes shows us how stadium ready the song and band are!

The solo is transcendental – sending us astral before a minimalist middle eight moment with a thrashing reprise. There is not a dull moment in the track – we are enthralled throughout! The final chorus is full of pizazz, and leaves us yearning for more!

Just as well Summer With Rain is just the start of an epic era for the band, in the lead up to their EP, aptly titled – Move to Mars. The band philosophically confesses, “At its core, the EP is about the ways we try to move forward, whether across the galaxy or within our own lives.”

We love the intentional depth of what Lost in Town are creating, and have added Summer With Rain to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the band’s wider discography, including Elvis, and I Won’t Let You Go!
