Establishing the mood with an immersive piano performance with astral frequencies and intricate, acoustic guitar, Michellar opens SEPTEMBER with a reminiscent mood and vocals from Helen Walford as she sings, “Hey it’s September, hey Summer’s over… We have all our lives ahead…”
We love Michelle Bond‘s narrative driven brand of storytelling, the poetic grace that she creates with, and Helen Walford‘s timeless and captivating timbre. The build of the track has a cinematic allure, perfect for a range of sync deals – perhaps an episode of Netflix’s drama, My Life with the Walter Boys!
There is a graceful elegance to the composition, the cymbal risers punctuate the emotion transcendentally, and we feel the warmth of Summer, yet the intention of Autumn, whilst reminding us of the life that we have ahead and the potential for human connection and connection with nature.
Speaking on the release, Michellar confesses, “The Fall is a magical time of the year. It is when the light changes and the colors of our surroundings trigger a lot of reflection and introspection. As the air starts to chill, we also reminisced the Summer and all of its glorious moments in the warm sun.”

The visionary artist continues, “SEPTEMBER is a song that I wrote amidst colorful changes in my surroundings and the memories of all the summers I have had so far. I hope the audience will feel … that feeling of repose and remembrance when they listen to this track.”
We learn that the track was recorded in San Francisco with final touches being made in Staffordshire, England by Tobias Wilson. As for upcoming projects, Michelle Bond, who is a multi-disciplinary artist and painter has upcoming art exhibits and musical performances scheduled for September and October, so stay tuned to her social media!
