Establishing the mood with a subtle cymbal texture, and a timeless bass performance, Stephani Ezatoff opens God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven with intricate piano and gospel vocals with the iconic lyrics first written and performed by Babbie Mason.
“God will open, He′ll open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing…” is prose based upon the Bible verse, Malachi 3:10, “… [God] will open the windows of heaven and flood you with blessing after blessing.” We are immediately enthralled by the conscious depth of the piece and the optimistic energy that manifests.
The production is sublime and has us deep in our emotions, feeling connected with oneness and the universe. In essence, the song is about the overflowing blessings that come from God. The message is clear: the blessings are not because of what we do, but because God is good.
The verses remind us to look at our everyday lives and see how much we have already been given. The words encourage gratitude and trust. Instead of focusing on what is missing, it points to what God has already done. It calls on us to celebrate His goodness and to recognize that we are blessed, not because we earned it, but because of His love and generosity.

Speaking on the instrumentation and production, Stephani Ezatoff confesses, “This project was produced by Brian Speer of the legendary Speer Family. Backed by top Nashville session players, and background vocalists, this track was recorded at The Sound Shop on the iconic Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. The backbeat of the project was a fervent desire to deliver classic Gospel in a rich, bluesy, authentic package. It was our fervent intention to maintain a steadfast respect for Babbie Mason’s traditional Gospel hymn, while infusing it with a vibrant, gritty, bluesy vibe, emphasizing the inextricable and beautifully everlasting link between the Gospel and the Blues.”
Naturally, we are in awe of the opus, and have added God Will Open The Windows Of Heaven to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Stephani Ezatoff, including Run On, and Why Me Lord!
