We previously featured Amy-Lin Slezak when she shared her conscious depth and empowering nature with her debut single, How Dare She, so when we heard that the star was back with the phenomenally titled, Known 3 Yrs. Seen 24 Hrs., we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!
Drawing us in with a bright and immersive country meets folk-rock hybrid soundscape with astral frequencies, Amy-Lin sings, “Digging up the past, cleaning out the closet, there is the back, that’s where I found it, bunch of old songs on cassette, fittingly labelled ‘memorex’…”
The opus evolves with a situational and relatable narrative-driven brand of song writing as Amy-Lin shares her unique timbre and a story of “past friendships (who were a bit more than that at times?)”! There is a relatable vibe to what Amy-Lin conveys, and there is a cinematic allure attached to the track as the New Yorker brings to life vivid imagery, that we indeed cannot forget!
Known 3 Yrs. Seen 24 Hrs. would be perfect for an array of synch deals – a Netflix romantic comedy, or a big Hollywood coming of age movie. The options are endless and Amy-Lin’s descriptively brilliant writing is captivating and poetic.

With reference to her creation, Amy-Lin confesses, ” I keep hearing that lyrics and story telling no longer matter, but I refuse to believe it! We all have stories that make us grin and chuckle over the inside jokes only lifelong friends are in on! This is one of mine!”
We learn that Known 3 Yrs. Seen 24 Hrs. was brought to life by Amy-Lin’s remote “dream team” including Amy-Lin herself as songwriter and vocalist, Andrew Timothy on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, Chris Reed from the UK slaying on drums, whilst Michael Cleveland plays fiddle, and Matthew Kutoloski shares his skill with pristine mixing and mastering.
Naturally, we have added Known 3 Yrs. Seen 24 Hrs. to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Amy-Lin Slezak‘s wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the star!
