We previously featured Kris Kolls when she transmuted her pain into power with her expansive and intentional single, Joy, so when we heard that the star was back with Little Game (stylised: Little game), we were curious to say the least and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Setting the tone with a super dimensional soundscape with cerebral vocal synths, and a boundless melody, Kris Kolls opens Little Game with an invitation as she sings, “I wanna play a little game with you…” The opus expands with connected prose and astral bell tones with an intricate bass line and a very unique sonic architecture. We appreciate the progressive sound design, the minimalist soundscape with intelligently constructed instrumentation. Fans of Charli xcx’s BRAT, and SOPHIE will be able to connect with the track, although what Kris Kolls is creating is unique to her own design.
The percussive outro with a stunning, Eastern strings arrangement is sublime and transportive – showcasing Kris’s genius, inviting us to escape the mundane and once again trip into another dimension! Speaking on the release, Kris confesses, “Little Game is a tribute to those unspoken bonds – the ones where a single glance or a laugh can change everything. This song is for anyone who’s ever loved through joy, tension, and all the beautiful in-betweens.”

The cheeky yet emotional pop track about real love blends flirty lyrics, warm vocals, and a dance-pop groove. The song turns fights into playful moments and chaos into connection. It’s bold, sweet, and also ideal for fans of Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and LISA. At its core, it celebrates being truly seen, not being perfect.
