Establishing the mood with astral bird sounds and an atmospheric piano performance, expanding with textured drums, Jaivy opens The Garden with cosmic dimensionality, taking us on an organic trip, inviting us to connect with the universe and the natural world.
The opus showcases dynamism, instrumental mastery and captivating ebbs and flows which manifest a cohesive tapestry of sound as the drums drop out, and return in a very elegant manner. There is a jazz adjacency with Bossa Nova influence, but also a cinematic allure that manifests with the piece.
There is no doubt that The Garden would be perfect to connect with whilst in nature, but would also make the perfect accompaniment as a movie score. We appreciate the fade out of the track, something that few compositions have these days!
The Garden is designed to a serene escape from daily life. There is no doubt that the piece has a soothing energy and evokes the calm of nature. Known for immersive releases like Interlude, Jaivy showcases his dedication to crafting reflective musical experiences.

Speaking on the recording process, Jaivy, also known as Dylan Jaivy Blume, confesses, “I used a good bit of reverb and delay, to capture the feeling of being outside. As if the music is played live, between the trees and the birds. I used some automation, to make the bird sounds feel more alive. Other than that, I made sure the piano, contrabass and the drums were playful together in harmony.”
The composer who says that his artistry reflects his personality, shares his wisdom with the words, “Take a step back, to appreciate the beauty of your own creativity. And instead of rushing it, just enjoy the process.” He cites Freddie Joachim and Kool&Klean as inspirations for many of his tracks, but it is clear that Jaivy is bringing to life a soundscape of his own design.
This message feels zeitgeist and important, in the face of so much global turmoil, Jaivy is creating word that allows us to be at one with the natural world and our inner universe. We have added The Garden to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the talented creator’s wider body of work, including Interlude, and The Escape.
