Establishing the mood with textured drums and a psychedelic adjacent guitar soundscape, 7Sven opens Routine with atmospheric vocals and metaphorical, introspective depth as he sings, “I don’t like despair, so I will it full of rage, is it all for sale, is it all for sale?”
There is a cinematic allure to the track with a high emotional quotient as 7Sven shares his poetic prowess and lived experience. The energy is raw and authentic, and the guitar performances are simply transcendental.
There is a grounded vibe to the track in terms of the themes covered, but this is infused with an astral frequency with the sonic design. Routine feels perfect for a movie soundtrack – perhaps something like a sequel of Limitless which originally starred Bradley Cooper taking a super pill that activated his entire brain, stepping out of the mundane routine.
With reference to Routine, 7Sven says, “With some rage and some hope, it manages to creep into the listeners’ ear and to provoke some thinking whether sticking to our everyday routine is really the right thing to do.”

The middle eight which leads to the finale is a meditative moment in the track, stripped back, allowing us to connect with the soul of the artist, but also ourselves in the context of the track. It is no surprise that 7Sven has already amassed over 250,000 streams across his entire discography!
7Sven‘s intentional depth is prevalent, and he describe the track that is set to come after Routine as “another song criticizing egotism and a self-centred world-view in a rapidly changing society.” Naturally, we cannot wait to hear this, but in the meantime, we have added Routine to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of 7Sven, including Shine, Snowman, Once, and the entirety of his album, Black in Green.
