Kay Soul invites us to, “Have no fear in the In Between…”, before breaking into a fierce and captivating rap verse with conscious lyricism about understanding the blessings that reside in between “where you are and where you want to be in life.”
The star tells us, “It’s an anthem of strength to keep the faith during the trials of life. It’s about coming out of darkness and walking in the light.” The overall message is for us to appreciate the present moment and have no fear.
We appreciate the high spiritual quotient of the track and the dynamic approach to songwriting and sound design that Kay Soul manifests with In Between. In Between serves as the lead single from Kay Soul‘s coming album Heavy Set. There is no doubt that the Chicago singer is a healing artist, sharing her authenticity and wisdom in an intentional way.
The song itself is produced with Anthony Smith, and released on Kay Soul‘s own label Cornerstone Drive via Virgin Music Group. Heavy Set is dues to follow in August. Kay wrote and executive‑produced all twelve songs herself.
