Setting the tone with a dimension and cerebral introduction which feels progressive and industrial, rising artist Nieri opens Architecture with a pristine pop vocal and assertive prose as he takes us on a personal journey, reclaiming his power.
The genre expansive opus evolves with a nostalgic sense of futurism as Nieri shares his lived experience and perspective. The track is empowering and serves as “a fearless anthem about breaking free from abusive relationships and reclaiming control.”
Architecture is fierce and filled with epic metaphors. The lyricism is cutting – Nieri truly showcases his masterful penmanship with this one. The production is also super dynamic and captivating with boundless synths, ingenious sound design nuances and an instrumental solo which is perfect for the dance-floor.
It’s giving 2000s boy band but with a contemporary mix and modern production that really shines through. We have featured a few of Nieri‘s recent songs, and are always impressed with how evolved his sound is, and how many genres he can conquer – truly the sign of a great pop star!
The song comes with a yet unreleased music video (it’s out on July 11!), which Nieri has been teasing on YouTube, directed by Nieri and inspired by Gaspar Noé’s Climax. The cinematic visual features choreography by Hunter Wayne Foster (Charli XCX, Vandelux) and cinematography by Tylre Wilcox (Willow Smith, Olivia Rodrigo).
Naturally, we have added Architecture to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of Nieri, including People Pleaser and Body 2 Body.
