We recently featured H.I.O.B when he took us on a dimensional trip with an epic ode to his loyal canine companion, Remember the Truth, so when we heard that the visionary artist was back with Shizoline, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
The opus commences with a pulsating beat and astral frequency with cerebral nuances and immersive sub bass drops. Shizoline expands with psychedelic intricacy and dramatic allure to take us on a cinematic and immersive journey through space, time and our inner minds.
A dynamic kick ensues, intertwined with atmospheric textures and melodic detailing akin to a DMT trip. We are enthralled by the subversive nature of the composition, high octane and trippy drum rolls entice us further, leading us to a beautifully playful synth riff that invites us further into H.I.O.B‘s sonic universe.
We appreciate the journey that we are being taken on and the cohesive compositional nature of the piece. A middle eight appears, almost like a meditative lull – like we have finally arrived at our destination, manifesting a mood of serenity and peace.

The cosmic rebuild is magnificent with the heartbeat of the track returning with industrial shooting textures, glitched, alien-like sounds and percussive moment almost like a rattle snake flying by in the midst of the night.
We learn that Shizoline is inspired by the intense feelings linked to borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia. The output feels almost cathartic – allowing the darkness to play its role so that we can in turn find peace through the music. It fuses strong emotions with cold, glitchy sounds, showing what it feels like to lose control and drift between real and unreal thoughts.
Naturally, we have added the brilliant composition to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of H.I.O.B and continue to explore his wider universe, including Machines and Humans, and RAVE.
