Establishing the mood with a bold and anthemic series of “woawaoah” ad libs, accompanied by a timeless guitar soundscape, Sons Of Chance open Show Them with an immersive energy, before expanding with metaphorical, inspiring and authentic prose that invites us to reclaim our own power.
In a world where many of us are suppressed, living in a sunken place, we are grateful for songs like Show Them to help us embrace our strength. The hook, “Get on your feet now boy, show them you can shake and dance…” has a much bigger meaning than what it might imply at surface level.
The track has a cinematic appeal and could be featured in a Hollywood or British blockbuster, perhaps a coming of age Guy Ritchie movie. The instrumentation is masterful and the vocal timbre is enticing and captivating.
Show Them is about feeling down and trapped inside your own mind, weighed down by dark thoughts. It talks about lonely moments and wanting to forget your pain, but also pushes us to get up, move, and dance to fight the sadness by finding joy, connecting with others, and remembering the beauty in life.

Speaking on the message of the track, Sons Of Chance tells us, “This song confronts the darkness head-on, but ultimately emerges as a triumphant and uplifting anthem. Show Them is a powerful call to arms, urging listeners to find their strength and resilience in the face of adversity.”
Sons Of Chance is a lively indie alt-pop rock band from Fife, Scotland, known for catchy songs and energetic live shows. Since forming in 2023, they’ve released a debut EP, gained radio support, and are working on new music for summer 2025!
Naturally, we have added the empowering track to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream the wider discography of the band, including the entirety of their 2024 EP, Better Late Than Never.
