Establishing the mood with an astral frequency and dimensional synthscape that feels both trippy and futuristic, Robin Swann opens flaunt you with the introspective old adage, “Is it better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all?”
The opus expands with philosophical depth that feels relatable, laced with poetic prowess and an intentional nature where Robin Swann shares her wisdom, transmuting her lived experiencing into an authentic message.
The accompanying tapestry of sound is cohesive and expands with cosmic dynamism with shooting textures, cerebral but subtle percussion until midway through the opus where it expands into a celestial dance-pop adventure that holds cinematic allure.
We love the glitch-pop vocal design, which feels intelligently constructed and the ethereal production which has an immersive energy, inviting us into Robin’s galactic sonic universe. The finale breakdown is refined and leaves us yearning for more.
With reference to what influences her artistry, Robin confesses, “When writing a song, I’ve always been keen to encapsulate a specific feeling or emotion with my lyrics. I want my listener to be greeted with a snapshot or time capsule of a certain moment in my life, and of the emotions and nostalgia that came with it. The romantic storytelling in the lyrics of artists such as Taylor Swift and the catchy chorus lines of artists like Sabrina Carpenter have always deeply resonated with me.”

Discussing flaunt you specifically, the rising star adds, “In working together with Xander to create the soundscape for this song, I was inspired by recession pop artists such as Carly Rae Jepsen and Peach PRC. Xander [Lee]’s production style aims to merge the emotional intimacy of bedroom pop music with the grandiosity and elaborate soundscapes of Billboard charting tracks. Heavily inspired by legends such as Max Martin and Jack Antonoff, he aims to capture the thematic core of the lyrics and narrative while creating a larger than life sonic palette.”
We deeply connect with what Robin Swann is manifesting, and although she cites Taylor, Sabrina, Carly etc. as sonic influences, there is no doubt that Robin is creating a sound and intentional energy of her very own.
