We recently featured Anjalts as she reflected a conscious mindset of future generations with her thought-provoking and dynamic single, War is so Primitive, so when we heard that the philosophical star was back with Love U This Late, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
The opus kicks off with a bell tone, cerebral frequency and cute astral synth riff before Anjalts shares a delicate timbre with situational, metaphorical prose, inviting us into a more personal space than her previous release.
We immediately connect with the deep authenticity and introspective nature, intertwined with intricate guitar melodies and a textured beat as Anjalts shares her soul and brings to life a very relatable message with her lyricism.
The artist describes the song as a “meditative unraveling” and “an almost intimate conversation you never had”, which we can appreciate. There is also an undeniable cinematic allure to the piece, which makes it perfect for a synch deal, perhaps in a romantic or sensual film set in the future.

Fans of Portishead, Nouvelle Vague, and Morcheeba as well as other 90s trip-hop legends might be able to connect with this version of Anjalts. The star is entirely self-taught and handles all aspects of her music independently. We learn that she wrote, produced, and performed Love U This Late on her own, showcasing her multi-talented artistry.
Love U This Late serves as the sixth track from Anjalts’ upcoming third album, which is still in production, and continues her exploration of emotional depth and ambient soundscapes. Naturally, we have added Love U This Late to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS and TRIPPY playlists, whilst we continue to explore Anjalts‘ growing discography, and anticipate future releases from the visionary creator.
