The opus expands with intricacy and dimensionality with an astral synth and more dynamic percussion, airy risers, the sound of a heart beat for an interlude and a high emotional quotient and Michellar conveys a message that feels relatable and sweet.
Her poetic prowess, as with all of her releases, is tangible. The talented artist is a great word smith and there is nothing generic about the love song. We learn that Cross My Heart was produced in Romania by Marius, and recorded at the Women’s Audio Mission studio in San Francisco. The song’s creation also reflects Michellar’s support for women-owned businesses in music.
The visionary and conscious artist tells us, “I write music because it is HOME to me. A place where I can be myself in my most vulnerable and authentic self.” The star adds, “Love is passion… hot, warm, cold and empty are all expressed in this song.”
