Drawing us in with an intricate, acoustic guitar soundscape and delicate vocals, Megan Wheeler opens Acceptance of You with the words, “No matter how much it hurts, I accept the pain of it, no matter how much it hurt, will all this be worth it? I used to think that I only wanted you, but now I’ve come to the acceptance…”
The opus expands with wisdom and catharsis as Megan Wheeler taps into a self-realized energy and her own power, learning from toxic experiencing and manifesting her own peace of mind and internal strength. We really appreciate the emotional depth of the song and the authenticity that transpires with Megan’s soulful nature.
Her vocal design is sublime with luscious harmonies and a minimalist soundscape that allows her songwriting and essence to really shine through. Megan has received comparisons to Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter, which is cute, but her essence feels extremely real and pure, unto her own design.

Megan confesses, “This song came from a relationship experience that made me feel deeply sad but eventually made me feel content and taught me things about myself. I try to put my heart out and be vulnerable when I write music, which I hope draws in people who feel the same.”
We learn that Megan’s journey as a songwriter kicked off at a young age, with piano lessons at five and her first single release at sixteen. As as student of Belmont University in Nashville, she further honed her musical skills and has developed into the artist that she is today – with no doubt a long and prosperous career to follow.
Naturally, we have added Acceptance of You to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Megan Wheeler‘s growing discography, including her debut single, Replaced and her recent sophomore release, Now That I’m Gone.
