As you likely know by now, Proklaim is a rising star from Namibia, making a name for himself on the world’s stage with his unique, cohesive and conscious brand of rap. When we heard that Proklaim was back with ENCHANTMENT, we were stoked to immersive ourselves in the visionary creator’s universe once more.
Opening with the sung hook, “New season, put the work in then you better reap the fruit and do season…”, Proklaim sets an intention with his prose and poetic prowess. The soundscape has an almost ancestral vibe with a divine sampled female vocal hook, expanding with a textured trap beat.
The energy is atmospheric and Proklaim‘s verses are refined and intelligently constructed, as always. He showcases his depth and high emotional quotient. The track is full of hooks, super catchy, breaking up the poignant verses.

We learn that the recording process was marked by its spontaneity and expressiveness, with Proklaim freestyling the bridge and chorus, while crafting the verses with meticulous care. This certainly comes through on the track, and Proklaim‘s conscious verbiage is tangible.
Recorded at PEN PUSHAZ STUDIOS and mixed and engineered at AUDIOART NAMIBIA by Wojtek Majewski, the compositional construction of the track is flawless as always. Proklaim confesses, “Wanted to make something trippy [and] psychedelic; still lyrical with a message.”
Fans of early Kanye West might be able to connect with ENCHANTMENT, certainly with reference to Proklaim‘s flow and the ancestral beat. Proklaim adds some profound wisdom as he preaches, “There is divine energy in motion in all of us, and heeding it, and learning flow with it, and avoiding distractions is the art of life.” We continue to explore Proklaim‘s discography on Spotify, and Soundcloud and anticipate future releases from the rising visionary!
