MatAre shares timely anthem of faith under the Capricorn full moon with new single, Forever Light

We recently featured MatAre for his conceptual and profoundly introspective single, Perfect Constant, so when we heard that the talented creator was back with Forever Light, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!

Establishing the mood with textured drums and a glistening and dreamy guitar soundscape, MatAre opens Forever Light with a sentiment that is in line with the title of the track, astral synths, a dreamy vibe and situational yet vivid prose.

The opus takes us on a personal journey with regards to the protagonist, and showcases sublime vocal design with captivating ascending ad libs as hooks, which remain in our mindsets long after the song itself is over.

With reference to the message of the song, MatAre confesses, “The Forever Light is a person’s faith in a higher being. It is something that someone has and it is part of their reality. I came to the conclusion that a person can have a beautiful life guided by this Forever Light. Even though I do not have this in my life it was an amazing journey to write this song and explore the positivity of that message.”

Elaborating on how this song is a shift from his usual sound, MatAre says, “You must remember, I am an angry, unhappy person. My default is to be evil. Making chill music about nice things is an escape for me.”

This release is especially significant as it coincides with today’s Capricorn full moon, a celestial event often associated with ambition, discipline, and the manifestation of one’s deepest desires. The song’s timing enhances its impact, suggesting a deliberate alignment with the energies of clarity and spiritual growth that the Capricorn full moon embodies. Through Forever Light, MatAre not only offers a musical experience but also invites us to reflect on our own spiritual journeys and the strength found in faith, making this release a resonant moment for many.

The fade out of the track feels like the perfect fit for the sentimental and airy overarching energy of the track, and is perfect for playing on loop! MatAre mentions Depeche Mode, The Sundays, Fleetwood Mac, and The Cure as sonic influences for the track, which we definitely feel come through with the transcendental track.

We love all of MatAre‘s divergent styles and the genre expansive nature that he brings to life with his music catalogue. We have added Forever Light to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Perfect Constant, and anticipate future releases from the talented creator.
