Having featured a slew of TerraTara‘s releases, once we heard that the talented and conscious artist was back with Warrior of Love on the solstice and full moon conjunction, we couldn’t wait to jump back into her sonic universe and share our experience.
Establishing the mood with tripping percussion and a sublime acoustic guitar soundscape with mandolin and a dimensional bass guitar, TerraTara opens Warrior of Love with a captivating timbre as she sings, “Love has gone away, why doesn’t it stay, take me home and I’ll stay forever, forever yeah…”
The opus comments on the state of reality, but serves as a sincere, escapist and charming ode to true love, but also connection with source and the artist’s purpose. We appreciate the charm that TerraTara exudes, and the stunning instrumental interlude with a bridge that references the title of the track.
Speaking concisely on her message, TerraTara says, “Warrior of Love tells the tale of the longing for a far off lover to return. [It] blends the sounds of North American Folk guitar and mandolin with Caribbean rhythms and punchy, Bahamian bass.”
We love the authenticity that the track exudes and how it encapsulates TerraTara‘s core artistic message and purpose of manifesting more love through her artistry. The track was recorded at Reel Time Sound Studios in Nassau, Bahamas, with recording engineer Colyn McDonald. It features TerraTara on vocals, guitar, mandolin, and percussion, Jamaine Johnson on bass guitar, and Neil Symonette on the drum kit.
We have added Warrior of Love to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our new TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst we continue to stream TerraTara‘s wider discography including Forward, and Empty Apartment, and anticipate future releases from the talented creator.
