LosA shares intricate and dimensional Odd Relics Remix of obscurrity

Drawing us in with a cerebral rising frequency, expanding with a pulsating, textured beat and glistening astral nuances, LosA opens the Odd Relics Remix of obscurrity with atmospheric vocals and introspective, metaphorical prose as she sings, “Those feelings that we had, couldn’t let it all go to waste, sun burns the horizon, those feelings that we had, you’re so out of place, couldn’t go on like this forever…”

The opus evolves with a cosmic, cinematic edge and an intricate delivery to take us on a ethereal journey through the mindset of LosA, in synch with a cohesive, dream pop soundscape. We appreciate the manner in which LosA switches up her flow, and the sonic interludes which are full of dynamism and dimensionality.

The sampled ad libs and celestial bells guide us further, and the finale leaves us yearning for more. Speaking on the message of the release, LosA confesses, “obscurrity (Odd Relics Remix) is a song about driving home after the party, running through all the things that went wrong in your head. You didn’t say what you wanted to say to your crush, you felt like you were awkward, you wonder if you blew your chance…but now you’re far away, zooming on the freeway in the opposite direction.”

We deeply connect with the relatable narrative and tangible emotional prowess that LosA exudes with the remix of obscurrity. The star goes on to say that “music is spiritual, human, intimate, and personal”, which we wholeheartedly agree with and note how this transmutes in her authentic performance.

LosA cites Tei Shi, Clairo, Erika De Casier, Lorde, Jhenè Aiko, NIKI, Tinashe, FKA Twigs, and Lolo Zouaï as sonic influences, which we can feel come through with her sound, although there is no doubt that LosA is manifesting a universe of her own.

We learn that the single was recorded in Los Angeles, at the home studio of Brian Squillace, the producer of the record. He is also a solo artist known as Odd Relics and one half of the psychedelic pop band LANNDS, hence the collaborative credit!

We have added obscurrity (Odd Relics Remix) to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our new TRIPPY and TIMELESS playlists, whilst we continue to stream the original version of the song via LosA‘s wider discography, and anticipate the release of her six track EP, due for release later this Summer!
