Drawing us in with a dimensional, meditative frequency with astral textures, atmospheric nuance and cerebral melodic elements that tap into a holistic, transcendental channel, Forever in Transit open Let Go Your Earthly Tether with intrigue and zen.
The opus expands with a fierce and evocative guitar soundscape, shaking us to our core, transmuting an 80s adjacent energy, evolving with atmospheric vocals and introspective depth. The progressive-rock guitar performances are simply out of this world, showcasing instrumental mastery. Needless to say, we are in awe of the high octane overarching journey that we are being taken on.
Speaking on the message of Let Go Your Earthly Tether, the band confess, “It explores the struggle of settling aside your past to take a bold step into the future. To strip away everything that ties you to other people, external events, and your own biases in a desperate attempt to find inner peace – only to be left questioning all you know.”
The screamo finale feels cathartic and empowering before a minimalist breakdown takes us full circle to a more immersive and peaceful state of being. The trip feels therapeutic, in line with the intentions of the creators, and for that we are grateful.
Forever in Transit features Dan Sciolino on keyboards, drums, backing vocals, and sound design, whilst Jeremy Schroeder slays on guitar, Chris Lamendola shares vocals, and Daniel Ross performs bass guitar with ferocious dynamism.
We learn that the song is mixed by Diego Tejeida (TEMIC, Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy’s Shattered Fortress) and mastered by Andy Vandette (Porcupine Tree, Rush, Dream Theater). The band’s upcoming album, A Coming to Terms, is set for release on September 13th!
We have added Let Go Your Earthly Tether to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to immerse ourselves in the song’s cinematic music video, the band’s wider discography, and anticipate the release of the album this Fall!
