Setting the tone with a cerebral, electric guitar and a compressed melodic metal vocal, expanding with dimensionality and subversion with a fierce scream, Venice Revive and Neophobia open Evolution with drama and intrigue.
Itay Shabat of Neophobia‘s vocal performance is captivating, and we are taking on a philosophical and thought-provoking journey by the creators as they tap into metaphorical depth and existential themes. Speaking on the message of Evolution, the artists confess, “The lyrics talk about how the human races survived and even mananged to evolve through everything nature threw at it.”
The opus features Omer Cohen and Bar Lilos slaying on guitars, whilst Daniel Vegh shares his skill on bass, and Ofek Cohen takes us on a trip with epic drum-work. With reference to the deeper meaning of the song, the creators further divulge, “In reality it talks about how Omer’s dad had severe heart problems and had to go through multiple tough surgeries, but still managed to live a full, successful life.” We absolutely love this personal touch.
The track is masterfully created with dynamism, and out of this world guitar performances. The energy levels are unparalleled, and we can only imaging how epic it would be to experience Evolution in a live setting!
The creators cite Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Kingdom of Giants, and Bury Tomorrow as sonic influences, which we can feel come through with Evolution, but there is no doubt that Venice Revive and Neophobia have manifest a universe unto their own with the track! We also learn that everything was recorded at and produced by Yam Levi of Revision the Dream!
We have added Evolution to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we continue to stream the discographies of both Venice Revive and Neophobia, and anticipate future collaborations and individual releases from the talented artists!
