Natalia Quest returns with cinematic and cathartic new single, Redemption

We previously featured Natalia Quest for her expansive and philosophically profound opus, Inversion, so when we heard that the talented star was back with Redemption, we were curious to say the least, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.

Establishing the mood with an immersive bassline and astral vocal textures, Natalia Quest opens Redemption with dimensionality, before stripping back to an intimate piano performance as she shares ethereal vocals and captivating prose. What we always love about Natalia Quest, is her prophetic depth, intricate soundscape design and metaphorical depth. Needless to say, Redemption is no exception. Natalia’s conscious energy shines through with cinematic grace, as she takes us on a dramatic and emotive journey.

Speaking on the release of Redemption, Natalia confesses, “The lyrics came to me before the dormant truth had actually and officially surfaced. [They] describe not only my personal story, framed in metaphors, but they can also serve as a soundtrack to entirely different individual and collective scenarios, as most people naturally strive for inner and outer freedom, and this track is ultimately about liberation.”

The visionary creator continues, “At its core, it encapsulates the timeless dance of good and evil. Evil seeks to destroy and consume the energy that aims to heal and create, but, as always, it loses in the end. The song is also about the balance between love and wisdom. It taught me to be wiser and healed my savior complex.”

Expanding on her philosophical approach, Natalia adds, “When you naturally enjoy helping and sharing good vibes, it’s important to remember that not all people are the same. For some people, the major source of pleasure is not in good vibes and co-creation, but in causing pain and destruction.”

There is no doubt that Redemption would be a perfect fit for a James Bond soundtrack, and we love the intentionality that Natalia Quest creates with. She tells us how she perceives music and magic, and this really shines through in her wider body of work, which feels transformative and healing, holding a high spiritual quotient, tapping into source with every lyric and every breath.

We learn that Redemption was recorded in a home studio in Los Angeles. The production involved extensive experimentation and numerous iterations before the final sound was achieved. Natalia’s hands-on approach is evident in the song’s intricate production and polished finish. On Redemption, she worked closely with co-producer and mixing engineer Cody Doss, who played a pivotal role in recording the piano, violins, and drums, and in wrapping up the final mix. Special thanks are extended to James O’Reilly, Joseph Rusnak, and Olga Berman for their support during the project’s creation.

We have added Redemption to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Natalia Quest’s exquisite wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the cinematic artist.
