The Project tease upcoming album with timeless and nostalgic new single, no hard feelings

Our obsession with The Project seems to grow with every listen. Having featured a slew of their previous releases, once we heard that the talented creators had also released, no hard feelings, we were curious, and couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience!

Establishing the mood with a vibrant and anthemic, pop-rock sound, The Project open no hard feelings with the situational and relatable lyrics, “I used to watch you in the window, late at night, wishing I could just hold you…”

The opus expands with intentional depth and a timeless charm, akin to a 90s or 2000s teen movie. This youthful nature is a massive reason why we connect with The Project and their wider discography. They seem to reignite this joy from the past that has dissipated in recent years. The guitar solo is out of this world, and the hooks are earworms that remain with us long after the track is over!

We could imagine no hard feelings being synched to a Not Another Teen Movie or American Pie reboot. It has a sonic freshness too it, whilst captivating us with the charm of a bygone era. Fans of Steve Miller Band, Train, and Cheap Trick will undoubtedly find elements to connect with in The Project‘s music.

Drawing inspiration from these iconic bands, The Project weaves together familiar sounds and influences, creating a musical tapestry that resonates with those of us who appreciate classic rock and pop-rock sensibilities. However, beyond these familiar touchstones lies a vast and distinct universe that the creators of The Project are manifesting, unto their own.

We learn that The Project‘s upcoming album was recorded at Arrowhead West Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is produced by Dennis Hill, who has worked with such acts as Face to Face, Sammy Hagar, Montgomery Gentry, The Poor Boys and Lefty to name a few. The record is also co-produced and engineered by Steven Barnett of Pump5, and mixed and mastered by Mike Troolines (Los Lobos, Ignite and Righteous Brothers)!

Whilst we anticipate the release of the album, we have added no hard feelings to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream the previously four singles from the band including Hope and Over You.
