The Neuromaniacs invite us on a psychedelic and prophetic journey with debut opus, Revelations

We previously featured Johnny & The Brewsers for the poetic and narrative driven song, Tell Us / Dark Red Dice, so when we heard that the creative mind behind the project, Johnny Brewer, was back under a new moniker, The Neuromaniacs, and with an aptly titled debut track called Revelations, you can imagine our curiosity!

Establishing the mood with a meditative, cosmic synthscape with cerebral textures and atmospheric vocals, Revelations opens with dimensionality and dynamism, as the opus expands with fierce electric guitar strums and psychedelic nuance.

Evolving into a high octane trip, Revelations feels akin to experiencing all of time and space concurrently. A melodic guitar solo ground us, reminding us of our human nature before more tribal percussion elements take us on a more expansive journey.

An astral synth is coupled with affirmative prose from the artist as he invites us into an empowering and expansive dimension. Vibrant, 8-bit moments tease us further, in sync with more dynamic guitar performances, leading us to a dramatic conclusion with more prose inviting us to connect with ourselves and the universe.

Speaking on the message of Revelations, the talented creator confesses, “The song is about an omnipotent being that has created countless galaxies and planets it doesn’t get a chance to check in on all of them very often. The being stumbles across a long forgotten creation and is horrified at what it sees and how its creation has been destroyed by greed, corruption and cult like followings built up around the beings existence where atrocities were carried out in it’s name.”

We love the metaphorical nature of this explanation, and how cohesively it fits the experience of the opus itself. We deeply appreciate what The Neuromaniacs are manifesting with Revelations, and how zeitgeist the message of the song truly feels. We cannot wait to hear more from Johnny Brewer and his new project!
