Carlos Escanilla showcases his sublime range on self-realized and poetic new opus, Just A Little While

Drawing us in with intricate percussion, a transcendental guitar performance and astral trumpet riffs, Carlos Escanilla opens Just A Little While with dimensionality, instrumental mastery and introspective prose.

With a captivating vocal timbre and poetic prowess laced with authenticity, the talented Miami-based artist shares his soul with vigour and a self-realized nature – needless to say, we are mesmerized. The opus expands with charisma and a high emotional quotient to take us on a somewhat relatable journey with the creator.

The vocal dynamism is out of this world, as Carlos Escanilla demonstrates a cosmic falsetto, in turn taking us on an eye opening journey with his lyricism. Speaking on the message of Just A Little While, Carlos confesses, “It’s about meeting the right person at the wrong time. And one person realizing they have to walk out, while the other asks them to stay.”

With reference to the soundscape, Carlos adds, “We wanted to create a song that mashed up genres. In this case we wanted to blend a traditional Rock-Blues vibe and Soul-Motown sound.” We deeply appreciate the expansive nature of the sound design, as well as the unique intonations and fusion that it manifests.

Carlos Escanilla possesses an epic vocal range that truly transcends boundaries, captivating us with his extraordinary talent and emotional nature. With a voice that can effortlessly soar from the deepest lows to the highest highs, Carlos’s vocal acrobatics leave us in awe of his technical prowess and artistic mastery. His ability to convey a wide range of emotions through his vocal performance is nothing short of hypnotizing, with effortless transitions.

It is no surprise that Carlos Escanilla has been performing in the Miami music scene for the last seventeen years, and we learn that in that time, he has maintained two bands, one which is now called Carlos & The Experience!

Just A Little While features Carlos on vocals and guitar, whilst Ale Pizarro shares his skill on the trumpet, and Jorge Tercilla Brandon Toledo brings to life the beats and wider production. The star describes his cohorts as “the most eclectic group of people to ever get together.”

We love what Carlos Escanilla is creating, and have added Just A Little While to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to explore his wider discography, and anticipate future releases from the talented creator.
