We previously featured Stefan West for his charismatic and thought-provoking debut single, Take What You Need, so when we heard that the star was back with Happily Ever After, we couldn’t wait to listen and share our experience.
Drawing us in with textured drums and anthemic riffs with an arpeggiated acoustic guitar and charming melody, Stefan West opens Happily Ever After with intrigue and the introspective lyrics, “I stare across the ocean, I look inside my mind, this faded vintage feeling, like polaroids lost in your closet for a lifetime…”
Once again, we are enamoured by the rising star’s poetic depth and the authenticity that he exudes with his prose. We appreciate his vocal timbre and the masterful accompanying soundscape which holds a timeless, yet dynamic energy.
We learn that Happily Ever After is designed to “delve into themes of love and envisioning a shared future, growing old together”, which we love, as it is has a super relatable vibe, coupled with Stefan West charisma, resulting in a piece that invites us to feel at one with the creator.
Stefan’s story is one of resilience and triumph as he confronted addiction and the depths of his struggles. Despite finding himself in a state of despair and isolation, he discovered solace and strength through the transformative power of music. Through his art, he found a way to channel his pain and confusion, ultimately emerging victorious over adversity. Along his journey to recovery, Stefan embraced the practices of meditation and yoga, utilizing them as powerful tools for self-discovery and inner healing. These practices guided him towards a path of transformation and personal growth.
We love what Stefan West stands for, and have added Happily Ever After to our New Music Spotlight playlist and our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream his wider discography and anticipate future releases from the talented creator.
