The moment that we have been waiting for has arrived. The first taste of Gary Dranow and Chris Zoupa‘s collaborative EDM project, Astralix is here, and we are ready to engage with their debut single and title track of their album, The Rhythm Fills My Soul.
Setting the tone with expansive, astral synth notes, The Rhythm Fills My Soul, which is produced with Louis Dupont, opens with an atmospheric pop vocal and inspiring situational prose. We are transported to a euphoric reality with dimensionality and intentional depth with the lyrics, “I’m going downtown, tonight’s the night for fun, no time for feelin’ down, the party’s just begun, lights flashing all around, bass pumping through the ground, this night, we own the town…”
Speaking on the message of the glistening opus, Astralix confess, “The Rhythm Fills My Soul is a celebration of youth, fun, carefree lifestyle, and of course dance.”
This absolutely comes through in the progressive nature of the mix, and it feels optimistic, designed to invite us to be at one with the universe and share gratitude for our reality.
The creators cite Tiesto, Marshmello, Swedish House Mafia, and Avicii as a few sonic influences, which we can get behind, although there is no doubt that the futuristic nature of the sound and the resplendent architecture of the shimmering composition are unique to Astralix‘s own creative effort.
We are enamoured by the key changes and ebbs and flows of the track, as well as the timbre of the mystery vocalist! Naturally, we have added The Rhythm Fills My Soul to our New Music Spotlight playlist, and our brand new TRIPPY playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from Astralix.
