Tom Minor reflects on the future with philosophical and charismatic new single, Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?

Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?croons Tom Minor as he shares the title of his latest track with introspection and an assertive nature. The future can feel uncertain for some, whilst feeling secure for others, and we appreciate the philosophical nuance that Tom Minor delivers with his latest thought-provoking opus.

Interlaced with a fantastic harmonica performance from Teaboy Palmer, who also produced the track with Tom, we are taken on a trip inside the mindset of the artist as he shares his wisdom and realms of possibility with us.

With reference to the creation of the track, he ponders the following zeitgeist questions, “A job interview to end all job interviews? A doom-and-gloom prophecy for a world running amok? A young person’s guide to balancing between a lifeless life and a hedonistic dead-end street?”

The genre expansive opus is lead with Tom’s charismatic vocal, but also evokes elements of glam rock fused with blues and classic rock. We are in awe.

The presence of the carousel organ lends itself to a timeless nature, reminding us of some of the greatest hits ever created, and Tom’s ability to bring to life a rich and quick witted narrative is second to none.

Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years? is taken from Tom Minor’s upcoming debut full-length Eleven Easy Pieces on Anger & Disappointment, which we cannot wait to hear. In the meantime, we have added Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years? to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Tom’s wider discography, including his cathartic and dynamic sophomore single, It’s Easy to Play Hearts.
