Setting the tone with textured drums and an immersive guitar soundscape, No Named open Touch You Baby with a timeless energy and sonic sophistication. Needless to say, we are in awe.
The opus expands with a captivating vocal performance and situational prose as No Named take us on an evocative and personal journey with their narrative driven brand of storytelling.
Speaking candidly on the release, No Named confess, “Touch You Baby is more than just a song; it’s an exploration into the depths of classic rock, wrapped in the allure of modern alternative rhythms. The lyrics narrate the enchanting yet complex nuances of an unexpected attraction, evoking feelings of longing and desire.”
We appreciate the authentic depth that No Named share with the release, and the charismatic energy that singer Nice Light brings with his evocative timbre.
The band cite The Rolling Stones as their primary influence, which we can feel come through with their sound, although it is clear that No Named are manifesting a universe of their own. Anecdotally, they tell us, “Our first album, Feelings, was completed with the assistance of sound engineer Barry Sage, who also contributed to the early songs of The Rolling Stones.”
We have added Touch You Baby to our New Music Spotlight playlist, whilst we continue to stream No Named‘s wider discography, including Fall in Love One More Time, and anticipate future releases from the talented creators.
