With AI imposed faces on bodybuilders, Sevdaliza has once again broken boundaries with the subversive and mesmerising music video for her collaborative song with Grimes, Nothing Lasts Forever.
The track itself is a pounding, auto-tuned trip, and the music video is totally in line with the concept of the song, showcasing the faces of Sevdaliza, Grimes, Julia Fox, Ferg, and Madonna on the ripped bodies of Rebeca, Anne, Jur, and Romy.
We learn that the cinematic opus is directed by Willem Kantine, and needless to say, we are in awe. The video opens in an industrial warehouse setting, with Sevdaliza seated in a vintage Mercedes, wearing a black puffer jacket and pants with a cerebral smile, before we see the body builders with superimposed faces walking on treadmills.
For reference, Sevdaliza‘s visuals have always been iconic, and Nothing Lasts Forever is yet another string to the rising superstar’s bow of masterful music videos.
The visual also sees the Dutch-Iranian star playing producer in the expansive greyscale space, and delivering fierce and electrifying choreography.
We have always been in awe of Sevdaliza‘s work and this certinaly cements her iconic status as a global popstar. Nothing Lasts Forever has been at the top of our New Music Spotlight playlist since it dropped last week, and is likely to stay there for quite some time!
