Establishing the mood with rolling drums and a dimensional guitar soundscape, The Project open Best Days with a timeless nature and situational prose, tapping into a classic rock meets contemporary punk vibe, and needless to say, we are in awe.
We appreciate the journey that The Project take us on, filled with relatable themes and lyrical prowess. The passion in the vocal delivery is tangible, and it is abundantly clear that The Project are creating with an unrivalled passion and authenticity.
We learn that The Project is a supergroup composed of seasoned musicians from Southern California’s renowned rock scene. The Project is fronted by James Davis, acclaimed lead guitarist of Shameless.
The band also includes power vocalist Jeff Plant and esteemed drummer Andre Bonter. Fans of Black Sabbath, Smashing Pumpkins, and Blink-182 may be able to connect with the track, but there is no doubt that The Project are creating a universe of their own.
In fact, the band manifests the vision of a “sandy beach mosh pit” to bring to life their opus, and we are inclined to agree. It feels transportive and is nothing short of a masterful blend of rock genres, showcasing the diverse talent of The Project.
Best Days was recorded at Arrowhead West Studio in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and produced by Dennis Hill, known for his work with Face to Face, Sammy Hagar, and Montgomery Gentry.
We have added Best Days to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we anticipate future releases from the talented creators!
