Drawing us in with a celestial frequency, textured nature sounds and a vibrant, dimensional synthscape, Cosmic Caz and Astral Bandit open Unanswered Questions In An All Consuming Space with psychedelic adjacency and a contemplative vibe.
The opus expands with a high octane and dynamic beat with signature risers and glitch-pop detailing, leading into industrial and metallic nuances with a pulsating club energy that we cannot get enough of.
Momentary lapses invite us to connect on a deeper level with the composition as we are taken on a somewhat thought-provoking journey, in line with the title of the piece. The rippling water sounds in the outro are sublime, inviting us to connect with the essence of the element that binds us all together.
We learn that the central narrative of the track “revolves around the profound, existential questions that have puzzled humanity throughout history. These questions are woven into the fabric of the music, acting as a continuous, unceasing inquiry into the nature of reality and the meaning of our universe.”
Unanswered Questions In An All Consuming Space is now available to purchase via the esteemed queer platform MUSA for their second V/A ‘Terpsícore’, which has had all people involved in the creation as FLINTA (Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Trans and Agender/Asexual) artists – from the production and mastering of tracks to the curation and creation of the artwork.
Speaking on their initiative, MUSA state, “We understand the use of music as a political tool, hence why we have decided to take this path to ask the male-dominated industry, especially the electronic music industry, to start raising awareness of this fact and start giving more visibility and support to people who have always suffered from misogyny or social exclusion due to their identity.”
