Setting the tone with an elegant, anthemic piano performance and luscious, atmospheric vocals, Matt Deangelis opens All Good Things with his signature, timeless energy, tapping into nostalgic elements, but equally showing us that he is a divine songwriting force to be reckoned with.
We always appreciate Matt Deanglis‘s philosophical approach to song writing, and his intentional approach to music creation. He shows off nothing short of instrumental mastery, as well as his ability to capture us with a message.
Speaking on the release of All Good Things, Matt confesses, “This is a song [that] I originally wrote about the conclusion of my childhood and the transition into adulthood. While it is true that the carefree times of childhood always come to an end, bigger and better things are in store for the future, even though it signals your innocence has been left behind.”
The star continues with depth, “From a more global perspective, every good or bad event, for that matter, eventually comes to an end, be it a situation, a friendship, a romance, a marriage, even life itself. Departing from what one has known as some of the happiest times in their life is certainly no easy release, but must be accepted by all in order to be able to adjust to the ever evolving changes we see in this life.”
With reference to his intention, he says, “For those listening to this song, I intend for you to use my words to help you through the conclusion of your dependence – be it on one’s childhood or dependence on another person or situation – to become independent in the belief that where there’s life, there’s hope. While the future may seem frightening and unknown, especially in the times we are currently living, we can acknowledge that while your current situation will eventually come to an end, there will always be a tomorrow.”
We love the wisdom that Matt Deangelis translates with his projects, and All Good Things is clearly no exception. The accompanying visual is cinematic and allows the star to truly shine as he shares his soul with us.
