Love Ghost and Wiplash channel their collaborative pop punk energy on unrequited love anthem, LEFT ON READ

Kicking off with a refined electric guitar soundscape with a whirring bass riff, Love Ghost and Mexico’s Wiplash open their collaborative single, LEFT ON READ with lyricism related to a Valentine’s Day situation.

The opus has a brighter sound than the most recent Love Ghost collaborations, and we welcome the change, although the prose still holds a subversive nature with regards to the documented experience being brought to life by the song.

The creators inform that the Urban Dictionary definition of being “left on read” is “the highest level of disrespect a human can receive.” The pop-punk anthem itself touches on the theme of “feeling ignored”.

Fans of Machine Gun Kelly, All Time Low, and Green Day will be able to connect with the track and we can only imagine how epic it would be to experience live.

Produced by Mike Summers [Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, Tech N9ne], LEFT ON READ has a timeless soundscape, demonstrating elegance and mastery in terms of its instrumentation!

The visual for LEFT ON READ features Finn and Wiplash sharing passionate performances in nature, which feels somewhat cathartic for the artists in terms of the wider concept of the track.

It certainly gives a taste of the energy that Love Ghost and Wiplash bring collaboratively, but we also learn that the song will be performed live on October 29th as Wiplash and Love Ghost share the stage at Indie Foro Rocks in Mexico City!

We have added LEFT ON READ to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst we continue to stream Love Ghost‘s epic discography and anticipate upcoming releases!
