Drawing us in with an expansive guitar frequency, textured percussion and distant drums, REAFFINITY opens Tether with a subversive and somewhat mediative introduction track called Stake.
Next up is the title track of the record which features a luscious, alternative rock energy with atmospheric vocals and introspective, emotive prose. We appreciate the dynamic nature of the composition and the nods to 90s grunge and soft metal.
The soundscape of the record showcases nothing short of instrumental mastery, and REAFFINITY emotive nature and authenticity is tangible. All Along holds a similar immersive vibe whilst tapping into a nu metal nuance, whilst Later On showcases a punk adjacency.
We then experience, Closest Town which certainly fulfils the cohesive criteria for the record but also showcases a more melodic side to our protagonist and his vulnerability.
Golden Hearts allows for us to connect with REAFFINITY on a more profound level, and the immersive tapestry of sound that the star exudes has us fully mesmerized.
Finally, we hear Transitions I which is a stunning instrumental track with harmonic vocal layers and an astral finale, leaving us yearning for more.
REAFFINITY cites rock, indie, alternative metal, post-grunge and post-punk as his influences, although there is no doubt that the star is creating a universe of his own.
We have added Later On to our New Music Spotlight playlist, as well as our brand new TIMELESS playlist, whilst anticipate future releases from the rising star.
